Senior OSIsoft PI System Engineer

We are seeking a Senior OSIsoft PI System Engineer to join our team. You will design, implement, and maintain analytics in the OSIsoft PI System and drive architectural decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Read, understand, challenge and discuss functional and technical requirements provided by the Data Manager and other stakeholders.

• Design, implement and maintain analytics in the OSIsoft PI System, including PI AF, for historian data calculations such as asset health index.

• Configure and maintain notifications, templates, asset models and other PI System components.

• Design and evolve the PI System architecture to ensure a robust, scalable and maintainable solution.

• Monitor PI System health, performance, availability and data flows, supporting troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.

• Create complex Excel reports using PI DataLink or PI Integrator, and dashboards with PI Vision, Angular or Grafana.

• Prepare future integrations with Microsoft Azure and IEC61850 data sources.

• Demonstrate solutions to users, gather feedback and drive continuous improvement.

Required qualifications

• 5‑10 years of experience with OSIsoft PI historian and related components.

• Strong knowledge of PI AF, PI DataLink, PI Vision and PI Integrator.

• Proficiency in scripting languages and advanced Excel (VBA, macros, pivots).

• Experience with monitoring tools such as Victoria Metrics.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.

• Familiarity with IEC61850 data integration from substations.

• Knowledge of Angular and Grafana for custom visualizations.

• Background in asset health index calculations and analytics.
