Job description

You will own one of Client’s core treasury and capital markets products, from discovery and product definition through to production. The product connects banks' treasury systems with market infrastructure, so that transactions settle through a shared ledger.

This role sits between bank treasury desks and our engineering team. You bring the treasury view: how a transaction is priced, booked, settled and managed through its life. You turn that into product decisions, and you challenge our assumptions wherever they diverge from treasury practice.

Responsibilities

Product ownership

  • Own the product roadmap, requirements and backlog, in line with company priorities set by the CEO and Head of Product.

  • Write product requirements and user stories for each transaction flow, covering the full life cycle from execution to maturity, including margining, early termination and default handling.

  • Define acceptance criteria with engineering and sign off on releases.

Treasury and market expertise

  • Validate product designs against real treasury, operations and settlement practice in Saudi banks.

  • Translate Shariah-compliant structures and their documentation into product rules.

  • Keep the team current on SAMA and CMA developments that affect treasury products and settlement.

Integration and technical direction

  • Lead the integration design between Client and treasury systems, the securities depository, the clearing house and payment rails.

  • Define API requirements, event flows and data mappings with engineering, and review API documentation before it goes to partners.

  • Coordinate testing and reconciliation with partner banks and market infrastructure.

Partners and stakeholders

  • Act as the day-to-day product contact for banks, market infrastructure and technology vendors in Riyadh.

  • Run working sessions, prepare product materials and track actions to closure.

  • Report progress, risks and decisions to the CEO and Head of Product.

Required Qualifications

  • At least five years in bank treasury, money markets or treasury operations, with direct exposure to fixed income and money market instruments, including sukuk. Experience in a Saudi bank is required.

  • Working knowledge of Islamic finance structures used in treasury.

  • At least three years in product management, product ownership or a business analyst role on financial systems, with a track record of shipping products used by institutions.

  • Clear understanding of the trade life cycle: execution, booking, confirmation, settlement and post-trade.

  • Hands-on software development experience at API level: building or integrating APIs, reading and writing API specifications, and working directly in code with engineers.

  • Professional fluency in Arabic and English, written and spoken.

  • Based in Riyadh and able to work from the Client office and meet partners on site.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with treasury and trading platforms, ideally on implementation or integration projects.

  • Experience with integration patterns used in treasury and market infrastructure, such as financial messaging standards and event-driven integrations.

  • Familiarity with market infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, including the securities depository, central clearing and RTGS payments.

  • Understanding of blockchain, tokenisation or distributed ledger concepts.

  • Exposure to SAMA and CMA requirements for treasury products and capital markets.

  • Relevant certifications, such as the ACI Dealing Certificate, CFA or a recognised Islamic finance qualification.
