Job Description – Process Mapping & Finance Transformation Consultant

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Process Mapping & Finance Transformation Consultant to support process optimization and transformation initiatives across Global Finance. The role will focus on facilitating process discovery workshops, documenting end-to-end processes, and translating complex operational workflows into clear, execution-ready process maps. The successful candidate will work closely with Finance stakeholders, SMEs, transformation teams, and delivery partners to drive process standardization, operational excellence, and business transformation outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate process discovery and process mapping workshops across virtual, hybrid, and in-person environments.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance current-state and future-state process maps using firm-approved process mapping tools.
• Translate complex Finance processes into clear, actionable visual artifacts and documentation.
• Drive stakeholder engagement, alignment, and decision-making throughout workshops and process reviews.
• Collaborate with process optimization leads, business SMEs, and delivery teams to ensure outputs are implementation ready.
• Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Support Finance transformation and operating model initiatives through structured process analysis.
• Ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to process mapping standards and governance requirements.
• Document workshop outcomes, decisions, risks, assumptions, and action items.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by promoting best practices in process management and operational excellence.

Minimum Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Process Improvement, Process Optimization, Business Transformation, or Operational Excellence roles.
• Demonstrated experience facilitating process mapping and process discovery workshops.
• Strong virtual facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills with global and senior stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience using Microsoft Visio and SAP Signavio for process documentation and modeling.
• Experience supporting Finance Transformation or Business Process Transformation initiatives.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to synthesize complex processes into clear and compelling process narratives and visualizations.
• Experience working in cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise transformation or target operating model programs.
• Exposure service design, customer journey mapping, or operating model initiatives.
• Understanding of Global Finance processes, controls, and governance frameworks.
• Experience working within Banking, Financial Services, or Capital Markets organizations.
• Familiarity with process excellence methodologies and continuous improvement frameworks.
