Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Assistant Vice President (AVP) to support the ongoing adoption, governance, and operational management of the Clarity platform while providing SDLC governance and project management support across the Business Management office of the Chief Operating Officer.
This role will serve as a key partner to project managers, technology/operations leaders, finance teams, and the team members of Business management office to ensure accurate project financials, resource planning, forecasting, time tracking, governance reporting, and SDLC compliance. The individual will play a critical role in driving Clarity adoption, supporting users, maintaining reporting integrity, and enabling effective project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Clarity Platform Adoption & Support
- Act as the primary point of contact for Clarity administration and user support.
- Drive continued adoption of Clarity project management, financial management, resource management, and time-tracking capabilities.
- Conduct training sessions, workshops, and office hours for project managers and stakeholders.
- Provide guidance on: Cost planning
- Resource planning
- Forecast management
- Staff planning
- Time tracking
- Project setup and governance
- Support onboarding of new projects and programs into Clarity.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, job aids, and training materials.
Project Financial & Resource Management
- Monitor project cost plans, forecasts, and resource allocations.
- Partner with project managers to improve data quality and financial accuracy.
- Ensure project financial information is maintained in accordance with governance standards.
- Support data insights on budget planning and financial reporting processes.
- Identify data inconsistencies and coordinate corrective actions with project teams.
Governance & Reporting
- Produce recurring executive management reports and dashboards.
- Support monthly governance reviews and portfolio reporting.
- Drive compliance with project reporting standards.
- Track risks, issues, dependencies, and action items across portfolios.
SDLC Governance Support
- Support Investment Management organization in maintaining SDLC governance processes.
- Facilitate stage-gate reviews and project lifecycle checkpoints.
- Monitor project compliance against SDLC requirements.
- Coordinate required documentation, approvals, and audit evidence.
- Follow up on governance gaps and remediation activities.
- Partner with development, testing, architecture, and delivery teams to improve SDLC discipline.
- Provide data insights on the SDLC Metrics.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with technology leaders, project managers, finance teams, resource managers, and business management office team.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on project governance and best practices.
- Act as a liaison between business management, delivery teams, and enterprise PMO functions.
Driving Innovation Culture through Catalyst Platform for Organization-Wide Ideation
- Promote an organization‑wide innovation culture by enabling employees to submit, refine, and progress ideas through the Catalyst platform.
- Act as a central point of contact for Catalyst and GMAS access, onboarding, and user guidance to improve platform adoption.
- Partner with the Catalyst Development team and business stakeholders to operationalize governance, review mechanisms, and approval workflows for submitted ideas.
- Facilitate timely reviews, approvals, and follow‑ups to ensure ideas progress efficiently from submission to evaluation.
- Track idea pipeline, engagement trends, and outcomes to enable visibility, transparency, and continuous improvement of the ideation process.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 7+ years of experience in PMO, project governance, portfolio management, business management, or technology operations.
- Strong understanding of: Project lifecycle management
- SDLC methodologies
- Resource management
- Financial forecasting
- Portfolio governance
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
- Experience in PPM Clarity.
- Experience in financial services or investment management organizations.
- Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery frameworks.
- Familiarity with Power BI reporting and dashboard development.
- PMP, Agile, or PMO-related certifications.
