Role Summary :
As a Marketplace Content Manager , you will play a critical role in improving item-level quality across Target Plus by leveraging customer and performance signals such as returns, conversion, and ratings. This role focuses on identifying quality gaps, defining item-type level attribute standards, and enabling teams and partners to improve catalog accuracy and customer experience.
Core Responsibilities:
Quality Measurement & Insights
Analyze key performance signals (returns, conversion rates, ratings, reviews) to identify catalog quality gaps
Define and track quality metrics at item-type/category level
Build dashboards and reports to monitor catalog health and performance trends
Attribute Strategy & Standardization
Define critical item-type level attributes based on customer behavior and defect signals
Partner with business teams to standardize attribute requirements across categories
Continuously refine attribute frameworks to improve discoverability and conversion
Root Cause Analysis & Problem Solving
Perform deep dives to identify root causes of catalog-related issues (e.g., high returns due to incorrect attributes)
Recommend process, content, or system-level improvements
Work with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions
Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with Account Management, Onboarding, and Merchandising teams to drive quality improvements
Provide actionable insights to improve partner catalog performance
Align with L&D and Knowledge teams to incorporate learnings into training and SOPs
Enablement & Governance
Support creation of guidelines, SOPs, and quality standards for catalog content
Drive adherence to attribute standards and quality benchmarks
Contribute to training and certification programs to improve catalog quality awareness

Data Analysis & Problem Solving: Ability to interpret performance metrics and derive actionable insights
Customer-Centric Thinking: Understands how catalog quality impacts customer experience
Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in attributes and content
Stakeholder Management: Ability to collaborate across multiple teams
Process Orientation: Ability to standardize and scale quality practices
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience in Catalog Quality, Operations, Analytics, or e-commerce
Strong proficiency in Excel / data analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in e-commerce or marketplace platforms
Familiarity with catalog systems, taxonomy, and attribute frameworks
Exposure to SQL / dashboards (good to have)
Experience working with cross-functional teams
Success Measures:
Reduction in return rates linked to catalog issues
Improvement in conversion and customer ratings
Adoption of standardized attribute frameworks
Reduction in catalog-related defects and escalations
Impact on overall catalog health metrics
