Secure Every Identity, from AI to Human

Identity is the key to unlocking the potential of AI. Okta secures AI by building the trusted, neutral infrastructure that enables organizations to safely embrace this new era. This work requires a relentless drive to solve complex challenges with real-world stakes. We are looking for builders and owners who operate with speed and urgency and execute with excellence.

This is an opportunity to do career-defining work. We're all in on this mission. If you are too, let's talk.

The Enterprise Technology Team

The Enterprise Technology team builds and delivers the secure, scalable systems that power how our business runs. Our People Technology Team sits at the heart of this work, overseeing the full Hire-to-Retire technical ecosystem—including core applications like Workday, Greenhouse, and Cornerstone—and ensuring these platforms evolve alongside the company's growth. We partner closely with HR, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and Business Operations to bring data-driven, compliant, and innovative solutions to life.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Director of People Technology, this role will serve as the Product Manager for Okta's People Technology portfolio, focused on Employee Growth & Talent. You will act as the strategic bridge between global People leaders and delivery teams. You will translate strategic product visions into high-velocity execution — shaping the what and why in partnership with Digital Solutions and People leadership, and partnering with the Delivery Lead on the how and when — while navigating complex enterprise workflows across Talent Acquisition (Greenhouse), Learning & Development (Cornerstone), Talent Management (Workday), and AI-driven automation.

What You'll Do

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap Leadership: Define the multi-year product vision and strategy for the Growth & Talent domain in close collaboration with functional and technical leadership. Translate that strategy into a prioritized, outcome-driven roadmap that articulates clear business value, return on investment (ROI), and measurable impact on talent operations and employee experience.
  • Talent Ecosystem Modernization: Build data-driven business cases and functional strategies for major platform initiatives across the talent ecosystem (e.g., ATS, LMS, and custom Workday Extend applications), articulating clear ROI, operational efficiency gains, and improved employee and candidate experiences.
  • Delivery Lead Partnership: Partner closely with the Growth & Talent Delivery Lead to translate business priorities and functional requirements into well-scoped epics and user stories, while maintaining clear alignment on trade-offs, velocity, and delivery milestones.
  • Functional & Technical Alignment: Act as the voice of the business and end users within technical discussions, translating complex functional requirements into clear product specifications and acceptance criteria. Partner with the delivery team to evaluate technical trade-offs, balancing user experience, operational risk, and long-term scalability.
  • AI & Talent Automation Strategy: Define the strategy and functional requirements for integrating AI across the talent lifecycle (sourcing, onboarding, learning, internal mobility)—evaluating build vs. buy solutions, designing human-in-the-loop workflows, and ensuring enterprise-grade privacy and ethical AI standards.
  • Global Stakeholder Management: Drive cross-functional alignment across Digital Solutions, distributed executive stakeholders, business functional leads, and US-based product counterparts to ensure clear visibility, smooth change management, and high program adoption.

What You Bring to Okta

  • 8+ years of Product Management experience leading internal enterprise platforms, enterprise HR/Talent systems, or complex B2B SaaS products at global scale.
  • Deep Talent Tech Domain Expertise: In-depth understanding of core Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and Performance/Talent Management processes, with hands-on familiarity with enterprise platforms such as Greenhouse, Cornerstone, and Workday Talent (or equivalent ATS/LMS/HCM ecosystems).
  • Strategic Business Case & ROI Sizing: Proven ability to translate long-term business goals into multi-year product strategies, build data-backed investment cases, and measure the tangible ROI and operational impact of platform initiatives.
  • Technical Fluency & Cross-Functional Translation: Demonstrated track record partnering with delivery teams on system integrations, data flows, and technical trade-offs—translating complex business requirements into clear functional specifications, acceptance criteria, and PRDs.
  • AI & Automation Acumen: Functional understanding of enterprise AI applications, generative AI capabilities, and automated workflows, with an appreciation for human-in-the-loop design, ethical AI, and data privacy safeguards.
  • Autonomous Global Leadership: Proven success operating with high autonomy across distributed time zones (US / APAC / EMEA), driving alignment and influencing senior business stakeholders and technical delivery teams asynchronously.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience scoping and delivering solutions on enterprise platform extensibility frameworks (e.g., Workday Extend, orchestration engines, or custom application ecosystems).
  • Direct experience conceptualizing, testing, or deploying agentic AI workflows, conversational interfaces, or autonomous task automation in an enterprise HR context.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise data governance, compliance standards (SOX, SOC2, GDPR), and sensitive employee data handling.
