Our team is growing, and we need forward-thinking, uncompromising, competitive team members to continue to facilitate our growth.
Role : Sr. Technical Program Manager (Product Development)
Experience : 10 to 15 years
Summary:
As a Technical Program Manager / Sr. Technical Program Manager, you will own electronic product development programs end-to-end — from ideation and concept definition through prototyping, design, validation, commercialization / industrialization, and final delivery. You will orchestrate cross-functional teams spanning hardware, software / firmware, mechanical, quality, operations, sourcing and product management, alongside external partners such as ODMs, contract manufacturers and component suppliers. You will be accountable for the program plan, schedule, budget, risks and overall execution, ensuring the right product is delivered at the right cost, quality and time. The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating both rapid Agile software cycles and structured hardware stage-gate development, remaining flexible and calm in the face of uncertainty.
Responsibilities -
- Own the end-to-end program lifecycle of electronic products from ideation to delivery, integrating hardware, software / firmware, mechanical and industrial design workstreams into a single executable plan.
- Drive disciplined stage-gate execution across concept, prototyping, EVT, DVT, PVT and mass production, ensuring entry / exit criteria are met at each phase.
- Create and maintain integrated program plans, schedules, dependency maps and risk registers; surface critical path and proactively remove impediments.
- Plan and manage prototyping and bring-up cycles, coordinating board bring-up, integration, debug and iteration loops between hardware and firmware teams.
- Drive design and manufacturability reviews (DFM / DFA / DFT), BOM maturity, design-for-cost and design-for-reliability discussions with engineering and suppliers.
- Lead commercialization / industrialization activities — NPI ramp, manufacturing line setup and transfer, tooling, first-article and yield improvement at the contract manufacturer.
- Coordinate certification and regulatory compliance (EMC, safety, ingress and applicable automotive / regional standards) within the program timeline.
- Partner with sourcing and operations on component qualification, supplier readiness, lead times and supply continuity.
- Manage cost, schedule and scope; track program health, costs and roadmaps through clear, communicable dashboards for leadership and stakeholders.
- Run Agile / Scrum for software and firmware deliverables, Kanban for recurring activities, and milestone-based tracking for hardware; flex the model to fit each workstream.
- Communicate status, risks and trade-offs to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders; build consensus and enable visibility across the organization.
- Plan achievable goals working with vendor / partner PMs and internal cross-functional teams; make timely corrections and alternative plans to keep final deliverables on time.
Requirements and skills -
- Proven experience program managing electronic / electro-mechanical product development end-to-end, from ideation through to delivery.
- Hands-on exposure across the full stack — hardware, embedded software / firmware and mechanical — with the ability to converse credibly with each function.
- Demonstrated experience taking products through prototyping and into commercialization / industrialization and mass production.
- Strong program planning, risk management and cross-functional leadership skills, with experience managing external manufacturing and supplier partners.
- Comfortable operating in both Agile development and structured hardware stage-gate (EVT / DVT / PVT) environments.
Desired Qualifications:
- B.E / B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Computer Science Engineering.
- MBA is a plus.
- TPM: 8+ years of Technical Program Management experience in an electronic product development scenario; Sr. TPM: 12+ years, including ownership of full product programs.
- Hands-on experience across SDLC and hardware product development (EVT / DVT / PVT), with successful delivery of commercial high-tech electronic products from ideation to market.
- Experience in commercializing / industrializing new hardware products and managing the transfer to contract manufacturing.
- Familiarity with integrating edge devices with cloud platforms is advantageous.
- Proficient in MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, Tableau, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SQL.
- PMP / ITIL certification is a plus.
- Hands-on Agile experience or Scrum certification is a plus.
- Motivation to be self-driven and not afraid to get hands dirty.
