✏️ What you will do

As a Developer Relations Engineer, you'll work closely with the co-founders and a talented team of engineers to drive growth and engagement within our ecosystem. By maintaining relations with customers and users, you will ensure our platform meets their expectations by maintaining the highest standards for tools, resources, and documentation. Your role will be essential in establishing our platform as a key tool in the network security software and DevOps communities.

Specifically, you will:

  • Drive customer and community engagement by creating high-quality content such as blog posts, technical articles, and video tutorials to educate and inspire NetBird customers and users.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and users, providing support and guidance to help them succeed with NetBird.
  • Represent NetBird at industry conferences and developer-focused events, delivering presentations, webinars, and talks to showcase its capabilities and success stories.
  • Track and analyze key metrics related to users engagement, community growth, and support effectiveness to inform strategies.
  • Participate in technical discussions with customers, providing expertise and insights to ensure successful implementation and satisfaction.

🔎 What we are looking for

We’re searching for someone with the following experience and skills:

Must-Haves

  • 3+ years of professional experience with a technical background in DevOps or Network Engineering, including hands-on development experience as a software engineer.
  • Proven track record of building engaged developer communities, with involvement in developer events as a speaker or organizer.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, or PowerShell) for automation, system management, or integration tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to create compelling technical content, including public speaking, writing, and live demos.
  • Prior experience contributing to and collaborating with open-source projects and communities.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout Europe and North America for events and engagements.
  • Proficiency in English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-Haves

  • A strong interest in secure networking solutions and cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience with production technologies that align with NetBird’s platform, such as REST/gRPC APIs or Kubernetes.
