✏️ What you will do
As a Solutions Engineer at NetBird, you are responsible for leading customer engagements from first conversation to closed deal and successful deployment. You combine technical expertise with a strong commercial mindset to understand customer needs, design the right solution, and drive decisions that result in signed contracts. You act as the primary point of contact throughout the buying process and ensure customers clearly see the value of NetBird in their environment.
You will:
- Lead customer engagements from initial discovery through deal closure and onboarding.
- Own the technical and commercial aspects of customer conversations.
- Understand customer infrastructure, security requirements, and business objectives.
- Design and present tailored NetBird architectures aligned with customer needs.
- Run demos, trials, pilots, and proofs of concept (PoCs) that support purchasing decisions.
- Address technical questions and objections that impact deal progression.
- Guide customers through solution scope, pricing context, and deployment considerations.
- Maintain momentum and clarity throughout the evaluation and decision-making process.
- Support early adoption to ensure fast time-to-value and long-term customer success.
- Act as a feedback channel between customers and Product & Engineering.
- Create and refine solution demos, reference architectures, and playbooks.

🔎 What we are looking for
We’re looking for a Solutions Engineer who is deeply technical, customer-focused, and excited about building secure networking solutions.
Must-Haves
- 3+ years of experience in a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, DevOps, or similar customer-facing technical role.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (routing, DNS, tunneling, firewalls, access control).
- Experience working with cloud or hybrid infrastructure.
- Ability to translate customer needs into practical technical solutions.
- Comfortable running demos, trials, and PoCs with real customers.
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in a fast-paced B2B or SaaS environment.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Engineering.
- Fluent in English.
Nice-to-Haves
- Familiarity with open-source software or developer-focused tools.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience designing or documenting network architectures.
- Startup or scale-up experience
