Working Student Sales and Operations (m/f/d)

About selectry selectry is a Berlin-based HR-tech company building a skill-based alternative to traditional job-board recruiting. Instead of recycling generic job postings, we work directly with hiring companies to understand what a role really requires, then match candidates on demonstrated skills and mindset rather than job titles, degrees, or CV pedigree. Our process combines structured, AI-supported matching with a human review at every step, so no decision about a candidate is ever made by an algorithm alone. We are in active build phase: a small, cross-functional team that moves fast, owns problems end to end, and works fully remote across Germany. If you have worked in an early-stage or startup environment before, the pace and the level of ownership will feel familiar.

Your Role

You keep Sales and Operations running cleanly behind the scenes, so the team can focus on clients and candidates instead of chasing down data. This is an operational role built on concrete, recurring tasks: CRM administration, pipeline tracking, market research, and digital information management. A large part of it is detail-oriented upkeep, keeping records accurate, flagging gaps, and organising shared documents. If you prefer project work over structured maintenance, this is probably not the right fit. If you find satisfaction in clean systems and reliable data, you will feel at home. Because the team is small, your work is visible and your input reaches the people who act on it.

Your Responsibilities

• Maintain and structure contact, company, and deal records in our CRM, and own the data quality
• Track and update deal stages across the B2B pipeline, flagging gaps and keeping records current
• Gather and prepare market and competitor research that supports commercial decisions
• Organise operational documents, team communication, and knowledge in Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams)
• Onboard yourself into new digital tools and help spot where recurring manual work can be simplified

Your Profile

Required:

• Some practical experience with any CRM tool, including updating and organising records
• Comfortable working in Microsoft 365, specifically SharePoint and Teams
• Able to manage your own tasks reliably without daily check-ins
• English at a professional level, written and spoken

Good to have:

• Experience with Pipedrive specifically
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Zapier, Make, or Power Automate
• Prior work at a startup or early-stage company
• A background in HR-tech, B2B SaaS, or a recruiting context
• German language skills
