Summary of the Role:

As a Technician III, Manufacturing Equipment Engineering (Design and CNC Machinist), you will be responsible for creating designs and assemblies using SolidWorks, operating conventional and CNC machines to manufacture precision parts, and supporting machine setup, tooling, troubleshooting, and process optimization while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, engineering drawings, manuals, specifications, and sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, machining sequences, and setup requirements.
  • Create and modify part models, fixtures, and tooling designs using SolidWorks, with a focus on manufacturability and process improvements.
  • Operate conventional machining equipment, including lathes, milling machines, drilling machines, welding equipment, and other fabrication tools.
  • Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and machining parameters to achieve quality, efficiency, and productivity targets.
  • Set up, operate, and optimize CNC milling machines for precision manufacturing applications.
  • Interpret complex engineering drawings, CAD models, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) requirements.
  • Develop, modify, troubleshoot, and optimize CNC programs and machining processes.
  • Perform minor to moderate machine troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Conduct in-process inspections using appropriate measuring instruments to verify product quality and compliance with specifications.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Education and Work Experience:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical Technology, Mechanical Technology, Industrial Technology or a related field of study.
  • Atleast 2 years of hands-on experience in CNC machining, manufacturing or a related technical field.
  • Industry exposure in the electronics or semiconductor manufacturing is highly preferred.

Skills and Competencies Requirements:

  • Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of CNC machine operation, setup, and basic maintenance.
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
  • Ability to use metrology instruments and precision measuring tools effectively.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
