Summary of the Role:
As a Technician III, Manufacturing Equipment Engineering, you are responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and optimal performance of equipment through preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repair. The role includes diagnosing issues, performing repairs, calibrating and testing equipment, and maintaining accurate technical documentation while adhering to safety standards. It also involves collaborating with engineering teams, supporting equipment procurement, and providing technical guidance to operations staff to improve performance and minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities and Role Accountabilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on equipment systems to identify potential issues before they escalate
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using specialized diagnostic tools and testing equipment
- Execute repairs and replacements of faulty components while maintaining detailed technical documentation
- Calibrate and test equipment to ensure compliance with operational specifications and safety standards
- Collaborate with engineering teams to analyze equipment performance data and implement improvements
- Maintain organized maintenance logs and equipment records for tracking and compliance purposes
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while working with industrial equipment
- Respond promptly to equipment failures and emergency maintenance requests to minimize production disruptions
- Assist in the evaluation and procurement of new equipment and replacement parts
- Provide technical support and guidance to operations staff on equipment usage and maintenance best practices
Education and Work Experience:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electronics Technology, Electromechanical Technology, Computer Technology, Industrial Technology, Electrical Technology or a related field of study.
- Atleast 2 years of hands-on experience in equipment maintenance, repair or engineering support roles.
- Industry exposure in Electronics or Semiconductor Manufacturing setup is highly preferred.
Skills and Competency Requirements:
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical equipment issues effectively
- Ability to apply strong knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and equipment lifecycle management
- Ability to use diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and specialized testing equipment competently
- Ability to maintain organized and accurate technical documentation with strong attention to detail
- Ability to analyze problems critically and develop effective solutions
- Ability to work within industrial manufacturing or production environments
- Ability to utilize computerized maintenance management systems efficiently
- Ability to apply quality assurance principles and continuous improvement methodologies
