Job Summary
The CNC/VMC/HMC Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control), VMC (Vertical Machining Center), and HMC (Horizontal Machining Center) machines to manufacture precision components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC, VMC, and HMC machines.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished parts.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and work-holding devices.
- Monitor machine operations and adjust offsets when required.
- Perform dimensional inspections using measuring instruments such as: Vernier calipers
- Micrometers
- Height gauges
- Dial indicators
- Bore gauges
- Ensure parts meet quality specifications and tolerances.
- Conduct routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
- Identify and report machine malfunctions or quality issues.
