Job Description

In this role at Comcast Business Information Technology (BIT) organization, you will work with diverse teams of product owners, architects and software engineers to deliver large programs prioritized within Comcast Business. You will be ensuring the ecosystem is secure, reliable, resilient, and supports efficient business processes with purpose-built customer centric applications. You will be part of the IT team that will set the IT vision and roadmap for the greenfield eco-system and determine how we work to effectively architect, develop, deploy and support the applications and infrastructure.

Service Now Platform Development

As a Senior ServiceNow Developer, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions primarily leveraging ITSM and TSOM, with optional exposure to TNI, and a growing focus on NOW Assist capabilities. You will collaborate closely with business and technical teams to implement scalable, integrated systems that streamline operational workflows, improve service delivery, and support intelligent automation.

ServiceNow ITSM, CMDB, TSOM Architecture & Development:

  • Design, develop, and maintain solutions built on ServiceNow ITSM and CMDB, with a focus on TSOM architecture and development to support incident, request, problem, change, and service operations workflows.
  • Lead data migration activities to transform and migrate ITSM, CMDB, and TSOM data into ServiceNow as a high-priority task.

Enterprise Integration:

  • Develop and integrate ServiceNow with Telecom order management systems to support end-to-end order orchestration, lifecycle tracking, and downstream fulfillment workflows.
  • Use ServiceNow for Day 2 assurance by developing and maintaining scalable server-side logic, workflows, and automation that support operational stability, incident resolution, and ongoing service visibility.

Technical Leadership & Innovation

  • Lead and mentor development teams on ITSM, TSOM, CMDB, and Flow Designer to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Collaborate with architects and stakeholders for architectural reviews and governance
  • Promote AI adoption to accelerate development, automate testing, and enhance workflows.
  • Foster a culture of innovation to continuously evolve ServiceNow capabilities and boost productivity.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering/information systems or similar technical area. (Master’s degree is a plus)
  • 7+ years of experience in IT service management, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development, including Flow Designer and Script Includes
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise-level ServiceNow solutions, including ITSM, TSOM, CMDB, COM, TNI, and other ServiceNow modules.
  • Experience with integrating ServiceNow with other enterprise systems, such as ERP, CRM, and third-party tools.
  • 2+ years of MSO/Telecommunications experience with a good blend of functional and technical skills in enterprise OSS/BSS systems preferred
  • Preferred experience with AI solutions including AI powered code generation, review, analysis, and software development lifecycle

Preferred Certifications

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)

Core Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements. Conducts analysis to determine integration needs.
  • Designs new software and working with Saas ServiceNow development, supports applications under development and customizes current applications. Develop software update process for existing applications. Assists in the roll-out of software releases.
  • Trains junior Software Development Engineers on internally developed software applications.
  • Oversees the researching, writing and editing of documentation and technical requirements, including evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals and formal recommendations and reports.
  • Keeps current with technological developments within the industry. Monitors and evaluates competitive applications and products. Reviews literature, patents and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.
  • Provide technical leadership for ServiceNow development standards, code quality, and reusable framework patterns.
  • Design and implement advanced scripts, workflows, business rules, client scripts, integrations, and automation logic.
  • Lead integration efforts between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems using APIs and middleware patterns.
  • Drive innovation work such as Service Portal enhancements, Triage Tools, email-to-ticket flow, ServiceNow-to-GitHub integration, Spec Driven Development, NOW Assist, and AI agent creation.
  • Lead production support and observability, including dashboards, metrics, logs, monitoring channels, and regression/performance test execution.
  • Drive DevSecOps adoption across team workflows and release processes. Review security findings, guide remediation, and improve CI/CD security automation.
  • Works with Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements.
  • Displays expertise in knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts and skills and their application around specified engineering specialty.
  • Displays expertise in process design and redesign skills. Presents and defends architectural, design and technical choices to internal audiences.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
