Job Specification: Performing PYQ analysis, listing test-wise topics and questions, making questions or allocating to freelancers, reviewing questions and their model answers, finalizing the paper in print-ready format. Evaluating and reviewing evaluated copies for quality.

Job Purpose: Geography Optional & GS Content Creation & Review, Evaluation & Review of Evaluation

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Making/Reviewing Questions & Reviewing Evaluation related to Geography Optional & General Studies for UPSC Mains Examination.

Specific Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of UPSC CSE and Geography optional syllabus.
• Understanding of demand-based approach (mapping, diagrams, conceptual and applied geography).
• Strong command over physical geography, human geography, economic geography, Indian geography, and current geography issues.
• Given at least two UPSC Mains/one Interview.
• Masters in Geography preferred.

Major KRA

• Identifying trends and analyzing UPSC Geography Optional and GS paper patterns.
• Identifying topics and types of questions.
• Framing questions meeting UPSC standards and demand.
• Preparing detailed answers with maps/diagrams wherever required.
• Reviewing answers for content enrichment, demand-fulfilment, and structure.
• Proofreading: emphasizing key terms, removing errors, grammar correction.
• Finalizing the paper: ensuring print-ready and online-ready format.
• Ensuring evaluation quality and standardization in checked copies.

Qualification and Experience

Minimum Qualification

• Should have written at least 2 UPSC CSE Mains with Geography as optional.
• Should have appeared for at least one interview in UPSC CSE.

Preferred/Additional Qualification

• Subject experience of Geography.

Relevant/Additional Experience

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and AI tools such as ChatGPT, Grok, Perplexity, etc.
