  • Support development of compact models for VCSEL and photodiode devices
  • Design and execute electrical and optical characterization tests 
  • Collect and analyze device performance data to validate model parameters
  • Assist in correlating physical device parameters with electrical/optical behavior
  • Document test procedures, measurement setups, and results
  • Create data visualizations and performance reports
  • Support parameter extraction from measurements for compact models
  • Ongoing Bachelor's or Master's degree in physics, electrical engineering, optoelectronics or a comparable technical course of study
  • Basic understanding of laser diode physics and semiconductor devices
  • Familiarity with electrical characterization methods 
  • Data analysis and plotting skills using Excel, MATLAB, Python, or similar
  • Very good written and spoken English skills
  • 8 - 16 hours per week / 6 months
