Team Lead Software Production Support (m/f/d)

As part of our Software Production Support Team, you will work at the intersection of serial UAV production, embedded software, firmware deployment, production diagnostics, automation, and traceability. You will help ensure that every drone leaving production is equipped with the correct software, firmware, configuration, and documentation needed for safe and reliable operation.​

Between hands-on troubleshooting on the production floor, flashing microcontrollers and compute modules, analyzing system behavior, improving diagnostic workflows, developing production tools, and refining digital work instructions, you will play a key role in turning advanced UAV technology into stable, scalable, and efficient serial production

What is your Day to Day Mission:

• Leading and developing the Software Production Support team​.
• Prioritizing urgent production support topics and long-term improvement activities​.
• Identifying bottlenecks, recurring issues, and process weaknesses in serial production​.
• Defining robust processes for microcontroller flashing, NVIDIA Orin installation, firmware updates, diagnostics, and recovery workflows​.
• Driving automation and standardization of software-related production steps​.
• Ensuring that production tools are reliable, versioned, documented, and maintainable​.
• Defining requirements for production traceability and digital paper trail documentation​.
• Coordinating software-related production escalations with Engineering, Quality, and Industrialization​.
• Ensuring that Operations1 work instructions are technically correct and reflect the real production process​.
• Monitoring KPIs such as production downtime, flashing success rate, recurring issues, and software-related first-pass yield​.
• Turning production issues into sustainable process, tooling, or engineering improvements.

What you bring to the team:

• Several years of experience in embedded systems, production software, manufacturing test, industrialization, or technical production support​.
• Experience in serial production or manufacturing environments​.
• Strong understanding of embedded software, firmware flashing, production diagnostics, and system integration​.
• Experience with Linux-based embedded systems, ideally NVIDIA Jetson / Orin or similar platforms​.
• Hands-on experience with scripting, automation, production tooling, and diagnostic workflows​.
• Ability to analyze complex issues across software, electronics, tooling, process, and operator interaction​.
• Experience coordinating or leading technical teams​.
• Strong communication skills across production operators, engineers, quality teams, and management​.
• A structured, hands-on mindset with the ability to distinguish one-off production issues from systemic process weaknesses​.
• Ideally, experience in drones, robotics, aerospace, automotive, defense, or industrial electronics​.
• Ideally, knowledge of CAN, UART, Ethernet, USB, SWD, JTAG, I2C, SPI, MES, ERP, traceability systems, or Operations1.
