The Central Sales Analytics team at MongoDB sits at the center of how we understand and improve the performance of our revenue engine. While this role is rooted in Sales Analytics, its scope is broader and spans key parts of the GTM organization. This team partners closely with Sales, Sales Operations, Strategy & Planning, FP&A, Compensation, GTM Tech, and other cross-functional stakeholders to drive data-informed decisions across pipeline, productivity, forecasting, product adoption, and overall business performance.

We are looking for a Sr/Staff Analyst who can operate as both a strategic thought partner and a hands-on builder. This person will lead high-impact analytics work, translate ambiguous business questions into clear analytical plans, and develop scalable data products that help leaders make better decisions faster. The right candidate combines strong business judgment with deep technical fluency in SQL and Python, and is comfortable influencing senior stakeholders while independently driving complex work from scoping through execution.

This role also sits at an important intersection of GTM, Product, and Technology. In select cases, this person will work with Product and Technical teams to connect GTM insights with product signals and customer behavior, especially across GTM Tech, Atlas Core, and Emerging Products. There is also a strong expectation that this person brings an AI-forward mindset, using leading AI technologies and platforms to accelerate analysis, improve workflows, and build scalable insight-generation capabilities.

We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Gurugram for our hybrid working model.

What you'll do

  • Partner with Sales, Sales Operations, Strategy & Planning, FP&A, Compensation, GTM Tech, and broader GTM stakeholders to identify high-value analytical opportunities and turn them into actionable insights
  • Lead deep-dive analyses across pipeline health, funnel conversion, seller productivity, quota attainment, coverage and territory effectiveness, forecasting, and broader GTM performance trends
  • Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analyses, clear recommendations, and scalable data solutions
  • Connect GTM outcomes with product and customer signals to identify growth opportunities, improve prioritization, and deepen understanding of the customer journey
  • Partner selectively with Product and Technical teams to inform decisions that sit at the intersection of commercial strategy, product behavior, and operational execution
  • Collaborate with GTM Tech, Atlas Core, and Emerging Products to combine business context with technical and product signals in ways that improve insight generation and strategic alignment
  • Build scalable dashboards, datasets, reporting layers, analytical frameworks, and self-service tools that raise the quality and speed of decision-making
  • Use SQL and Python as core tools for data extraction, transformation, analysis, automation, modeling, and repeatable insight generation
  • Apply leading AI technologies and platforms to improve analytical workflows, accelerate discovery, and develop scalable data and insight products that can be reused across teams
  • Present findings to stakeholders across levels, including senior leaders, with a strong focus on clarity, business impact, and actionability
  • Partner with Data Engineering, Data Architecture, IT, and adjacent analytics teams to improve the quality, usability, and scalability of sales and GTM data assets
  • Strengthen data governance, metric consistency, and reporting reliability by identifying root causes of data issues and driving durable improvements
  • Raise the analytical bar for the team by improving processes, sharing best practices, and mentoring other analysts where appropriate

What we're looking for

  • 6+ years of experience in Sales Analytics, GTM Analytics, Revenue Analytics, Business Analytics, or a closely related field
  • Strong fluency in both SQL and Python; both are core requirements for success in this role
  • Proven ability to work with large, messy datasets and translate complex analyses into clear business insights and recommendations
  • Strong background supporting go-to-market, sales, revenue, customer, or commercial organizations in a SaaS or high-growth technology environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work across business and technical teams and influence decisions through data, structured thinking, and clear communication
  • Experience building scalable analytics assets such as data models, dashboards, automated workflows, decision frameworks, or reusable insight products
  • Ability to connect business questions to product usage, customer behavior, and operational signals in a way that drives action
  • Strong foundation in data modeling, metric design, data quality, and data governance principles
  • Ability to independently lead ambiguous, cross-functional projects from problem framing through delivery and stakeholder adoption
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence senior audiences with data
  • Hands-on experience using modern AI technologies or platforms to enhance analysis, improve productivity, or build scalable analytical capabilities
  • Strong ownership mindset with the judgment to know when to go deep, when to simplify, and how to drive impact across functions

Nice to have

  • Experience working across both GTM analytics and product analytics contexts
  • Familiarity with product telemetry, customer health signals, usage trends, or product-led growth motions
  • Experience partnering with Product, Engineering, Data Engineering, or GTM Systems / GTM Tech teams
  • Experience supporting Atlas Core, Emerging Products, or similarly technical product portfolios
  • Track record of building internal analytical tools, automation, or data products that scale beyond a single stakeholder group
  • Experience applying experimentation, forecasting, machine learning, or advanced statistical methods in business settings
  • Experience with Tableau or similar BI tools
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and other core GTM systems

Why this role matters

This role will help shape how MongoDB uses data to make better decisions across the revenue engine. The person in this seat will influence how we measure performance, identify growth opportunities, improve operational execution, and connect GTM outcomes more tightly to customer behavior, product adoption, and emerging opportunities across the business.

By combining strong business judgment, deep technical analytics capability, and an AI-forward approach, this analyst will help MongoDB move faster, make better decisions, and build scalable insight capabilities that benefit teams well beyond Sales Analytics.
