Requirements
- 5.5 to 8.5 years of overall experience in cloud engineering and data platform solutions.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience working with the Snowflake cloud data platform.
- Practical experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based or on-premises database solutions that are secure, scalable, and efficient.
- Strong working knowledge of core AWS services including IAM, networking, security, compute (Lambda, EC2), S3, SQS/SNS, and scheduling tools.
- Proficiency in Python, BOTO, and SQL programming; JavaScript knowledge is an added advantage.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for delivering infrastructure changes; familiarity with Terraform is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively as a team player, share technical knowledge, and effectively interact with cross-functional teams across departments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Strong customer-focused mindset, with a commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable, and compliant solutions in a regulated environment.
- Capable of handling support tasks alongside development work, ensuring end-to-end service delivery and operational stability.
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain cloud solutions for the company’s data lake platform, underpinned by Snowflake technology, ensuring high availability, security, and compliance with organizational policies.
- Design and implement robust data streaming, ingestion, and analytics pipelines using Apache Kafka, Oracle, and AWS Lambda to support business intelligence and data analytics needs.
- Provide comprehensive technical support for the data platform, including troubleshooting, incident resolution, and performance optimization across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Automate operational processes and build self-service tools to streamline data platform management, reduce manual effort, and improve customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and deliver change through CI/CD practices, leveraging Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) where applicable.
- Ensure all solutions are built with security best practices, including identity and access management, network controls, and data protection measures in alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in on-call rotation and support activities as needed to maintain service reliability and respond to production issues promptly.
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements and innovations for the data platform ecosystem.
- Document technical designs, operational procedures, and knowledge base articles to facilitate knowledge sharing and team onboarding.
- Work closely with the Data Platform team to manage and optimize database systems (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL), data streaming tools (Kafka, Snaplogic), and analytics platforms (PowerBI, Oracle Analytics Cloud) across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud).
