Job Title – VP, Income and Corporate Actions COE

Location – India

Who we are looking for

As a Vice President in the Income and Corporate Actions COE, the ideal candidate will support Client Operations and other operational Shared Service teams/Centers of Excellence (COEs) by monitoring and processing custody, accounting, and middle-office-related events accurately and in a timely manner. The candidate will ensure prompt follow-up on exceptions, facilitate timely problem resolution, mitigate operational risk, deliver excellent service to clients, and support effective people management.

The Income and Corporate Actions COE manages end-to-end event processing across custody, accounting, middle office, and claims services for clients. The team processes financial activities that support NAV production, cash and stock projections, and portfolio performance reporting. In this role, you will contribute to process and people development while strengthening risk standards across the team.

What you will be responsible for

As Vice President, you will:

Strategic Planning: Develop and implement operational strategies that support the company’s overall business goals.

Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements to streamline operations, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.

Resource Management: Manage people, budget, and technology resources effectively to achieve operational objectives.

Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and key risk indicators (KRIs), identify areas for improvement, and take corrective actions as needed.

Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of managers and staff within the operations department.

Budget Management: Manage the operational budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost control.

Collaboration: Partner with leadership teams and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and coordination across the organization.

Quality Control: Ensure operations deliver high-quality services that meet client needs and internal standards.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential operational risks.

Deep Knowledge of Income and Corporate Actions: Demonstrate strong understanding of the end-to-end income cycle; mandatory and voluntary corporate action events; event lifecycle from creation to post-payment reconciliation; fund accounting; amortization; bond and dividend concepts; entitlement calculations; market and loan claims lifecycle; and relevant regulations.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in commerce or economics, with a specialization in business, accounting, finance, or another finance-related discipline. Inter CA, Inter ICWAI, or CFA pursuit is preferred.
  • 16–20 years of experience in accounting, finance, mutual fund operations, loan servicing, income processing, corporate actions, or related functions is preferred.
