What we are looking for
We are seeking a Product Manager responsible for owning the end-to-end strategy, roadmap, and delivery of Charles River and Alpha Data Interfaces. This role drives product direction across a broad set of external data providers and internal platforms, ensuring scalable, reliable, and client-ready integrations.
The Product Manager acts as the primary owner of interface capabilities, partnering across engineering, QA, product security, and external vendors to define priorities, manage tradeoffs, and deliver against client and business objectives. They operate at both a strategic and execution level, translating client and market needs into a prioritized roadmap, while ensuring timely, high-quality delivery across the full software development lifecycle.
This role requires deep expertise in financial data, investment accounting products, and enterprise integration patterns, along with strong technical fluency and the ability to lead cross-functional efforts in a complex, multi-system environment. The successful candidate will participate throughout the full software development lifecycle as part of a feature-focused product development team, driving initiatives from concept through delivery while balancing long-term platform strategy with day-to-day execution. They must be comfortable working across both financial and technical domains, translating business requirements into scalable product solutions and delivering against client, operational, and business objectives in a timely and effective manner.

What you are responsible for
Responsibilities:
- Apply detailed knowledge of business requirements and workflows to assist in product development
- Research and produce business and technical requirement documents
- Work directly with customers and product management team to gather product requirements and develop feature specifications; involvement in all aspects of the software product life cycle
- Partner with development to help develop, implement, and refine features
- Plan and schedule validation tasks; provide hands-on manual tests; develop verification plans and processes
- Provide feedback on product performance
- Review documentation to ensure accurate and complete documentation
- Provide client beta testing support and train personnel on capabilities of new product releases
- Assist with the management of project schedules and deliverables
- Assist implementation and support to resolve escalated client issues
- Actively participate in the Agile software development process by adhering to the CRD Scrum Methodology including attending all daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
- Participate in group testing activities as needed.
- Work closely with QA, review and approve QA test plans and test results.
- Coordination with cross functional teams to complete the project on-time and release the product.
Requirements:
- 16+ years of software development lifecycle experience, particularly Agile methodologies preferred
- Strong experience with middle office investment management and investment accounting functions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation skills
- Advanced writing skills, including the ability to abstract/summarize highly detailed information
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to reconcile conflicting data
- Ability to translate customer business needs into application requirements
- Strong technical background
- Familiarity with SQL, Snowflake and Talend will be added advantage
- Demonstrated planning and scheduling skills
- Curiosity and interest in financial markets and trading.
- Demonstrated ability translating business requirements into comprehensive functional and technical product specification documents
- Knowledgeable in one or more CRD functional financial areas is strongly desired.
- Education: BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or study of Business with an MIS background. MS/MBA degree strongly preferred
