Job Description:
Your Role -
We are looking for an experienced Adaptive Planning & Workday Systems Specialist to join our Finance Systems team. This role will serve as the technical owner and administrator of our Adaptive Planning environment and Workday finance integrations, ensuring the planning platform is reliable, accurate, and scalable.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience administering Adaptive Planning and Workday, managing integrations, developing reports, supporting monthly financial processes, and resolving system issues. This individual will partner closely with the FP&A, Accounting, HR, and IT teams to continuously improve planning, reporting, and data automation across the organization.
Your Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the Adaptive Planning environment, including models, dimensions, versions, hierarchies, and security.
- Configure and maintain planning models, assumptions, allocation rules, and metadata, including cost centers, chart of accounts, entities, departments, products, and other planning dimensions.
- Manage monthly Workday to Adaptive integrations, ensuring timely and accurate actuals loads and forecast roll-forwards.
- Build and maintain integrations between Adaptive Planning, Workday, and other enterprise applications.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Workday and Adaptive reports, dashboards, and reporting packages.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual forecast, budget, and long-range planning cycles from a systems perspective.
- Ensure data integrity, reconciliation, and consistency between Workday, Adaptive Planning, and downstream reporting systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Adaptive Planning and Workday system issues, working with internal teams and vendors as needed.
- Support system enhancements, upgrades, testing activities, and new feature deployments.
- Create and maintain system documentation, process documentation, and user training materials.
- Partner closely with FP&A and Accounting teams to improve planning, reporting, and financial processes through automation and best practices.
Your Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience administering Workday Adaptive Planning and Workday Financials, including reporting, integrations, and system administration.
- Strong expertise in Adaptive Planning model design, dimensions, versions, hierarchies, security, and metadata management.
- Experience managing Workday integrations, monthly actuals loads, forecast roll-forwards, and developing Workday and Adaptive reports.
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, with familiarity with ERP, CRM, and financial data architecture.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex system and integration issues.
- Good Excel skills and strong communication abilities, with experience collaborating effectively across Finance, Accounting, HRIS, and IT teams.
Good to Have
- Consulting experience implementing Adaptive Planning or Workday solutions.
- Experience with Adaptive Office Connect or Workday Prism Analytics.
- Experience integrating Salesforce, NetSuite, or other ERP/CRM systems with Adaptive Planning.
- Knowledge of FP&A processes, management reporting, and financial statement structures (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow).
