The Role

Your role

Bring your specialist knowledge and experience to a company managing 50% of the world’s MIPS and play a critical role in our modernization mission. You’ll be in good company among our global community of experts leading the future of mainframe modernization. Experts who share knowledge openly and collaborate freely.

In this role, you’ll design, build and maintain the high-volume business logic that runs on the mainframe. At the same time you’ll play a key role in refactoring legacy code to enable modern cloud and mobile applications to seamlessly interact with the mainframe’s core data.

What you will do

Develops smoke test packs, validates post-migration performance, runs functional and connectivity checks.

Quality Assurance & Test Management

  • Develop and execute test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scripts for enterprise applications and platforms.
  • Validate functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) requirements.
  • Review business and technical requirements to ensure complete test coverage.
  • Identify quality risks and recommend mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to release planning activities.

Test Automation

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and test scripts.
  • Implement test automation for web, API, mobile, and enterprise applications.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and faster releases.
  • Improve test coverage and execution efficiency through automation best practices.

Validation & Compliance

  • Validate application functionality, data integrity, workflows, configurations, and business processes.
  • Ensure applications comply with business, security, operational, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain validation documentation, test evidence, and traceability records.
  • Support audits, governance reviews, and compliance assessments as required.

Defect Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Log, track, prioritise, and validate defect resolutions.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for recurring defects and quality issues.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely defect resolution.
  • Analyse testing trends and recommend process improvements to enhance product quality.

Performance & Non-Functional Testing

  • Perform performance, load, stress, scalability, and reliability testing.
  • Assess application resilience, availability, and recovery capabilities.
  • Validate system performance against defined business and technical requirements.
  • Support security testing activities in collaboration with security teams.

Integration & Data Validation

  • Validate APIs, middleware, interfaces, and end-to-end integrations.
  • Perform data reconciliation and verification across multiple systems.
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency throughout business processes.
  • Support testing of enterprise SaaS, cloud, and hybrid applications.

DevOps & Continuous Testing

  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement shift-left testing practices.
  • Support continuous testing initiatives within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Participate in release validation and deployment verification activities.
  • Drive quality engineering practices that enable faster and more reliable software delivery.
