Role Summary

Temporal has made a landmark investment as the front-of-shirt sponsor for Crystal Palace FC in the Premier League. This role is for a field marketer and campaign leader first—someone who can turn the sponsorship into a repeatable engine for UK awareness, customer/prospect engagement, and pipeline influence, with a particular focus on getting the right accounts and buying committees “in the seats” through hospitality and integrated field programs.

We’re looking for an experienced field marketer with sports sponsorship and experiential marketing experience, ideally from a larger technical/technology company (or with clearly transferable experience), who understands how to build campaigns that align tightly with Sales priorities and resonate with technical and developer audiences across London and the broader UK market.

Location:

  • London strongly preferred.
  • Candidates based within the United States can also be considered if they have strong connections to the London/UK developer community and are comfortable building local partnerships and delivering in-person activations.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead integrated field marketing plans for the Crystal Palace sponsorship in the UK, translating business goals into campaigns that drive awareness, demand creation, and account engagement.
  • Partner tightly with Sales (most important): Build strong operating rhythms with Sales leadership and account teams (planning, prioritization, follow-up, and measurement).
  • Proactively identify what Sales needs from Marketing to generate engagement and pipeline, and turn that into executable field programs.
  • Design account-driven experiences that help get the right customers and prospects into hospitality moments, events, and matchday experiences (and convert that engagement into next steps).
  • Bring the Crystal Palace sponsorship to life through engaging field marketing experiences: Build a season-long activation approach that supports account engagement, executive relationships, and pipeline influence. We are looking for more than just brand impressions.
  • Develop “in-seat” engagement plays (target account invites, curated hospitality experiences, executive hosting moments, post-match follow-up motions).
  • Grow awareness with technical and developer audiences in the UK: Create/scale programs that build Temporal’s presence with developers and technical communities in London and across the UK.
  • Partner with DevRel and local community leaders (and/or tap existing relationships) to create credible, high-signal experiences.
  • Own the partnership execution with Crystal Palace (secondary to field outcomes): Run operating cadences (weekly check-ins in-season, planning meetings, pre/post-event reviews).
  • Coordinate rights inventory planning and utilization (player/talent access, matchday assets, content moments, community initiatives).
  • Manage approvals, timelines, and deliverables; ensure contractual expectations are met.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally to fully integrate programs (content, PR, paid, lifecycle/email, social, SDR/BDR follow-up, partner channels).
  • Own vendor/agency execution (experiential, production, creative, event partners) with high quality, strong operational rigor, and budget discipline.
  • Measure impact and tell the performance story: Define success metrics (pipeline influence where measurable; directional impact where not).
  • Produce clear recaps and recommendations to improve outcomes throughout the season.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong field marketing and campaign leadership experience, ideally in a technical/technology company, with a track record of delivering integrated programs that support revenue goals.
  • Proven ability to partner with and influence Sales, including comfort aligning priorities, driving joint planning, and building follow-up motions that convert engagement into pipeline.
  • Experience leveraging events, hospitality, and experiential marketing to create meaningful account engagement, attract priority audiences, and inspire continued connection.
  • Experience marketing to technical and developer audiences (developer platforms, infrastructure, tools, or similarly technical products preferred).
  • Sponsorship and experiential experience (sports sponsorship strongly preferred), with comfort managing complex partnerships, rights packages, and high-visibility activations.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership: able to align stakeholders, run tight processes, and execute in fast-moving environments.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal): comfortable presenting plans, recaps, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Experience managing a major sports sponsorship within a large technology company.
  • DevRel exposure and/or existing connections in the London / UK developer community.
  • Premiere League sponsorship experience (helpful, but should not outweigh field marketing strength, Sales partnership ability, and technical audience experience).
  • Highly organized and outcomes-focused; able to run multiple programs in parallel without losing detail.
  • Collaborative and low-ego; effective at influencing without authority and aligning cross-functional teams.
  • Strong taste and production instincts for high-visibility experiences.
  • Comfortable operating with imperfect attribution and able to define success, learn quickly, and iterate.
