As a Trainee Product Engineering you will play a key role in supporting the development of our next range of Westwing Collection products. You will work closely with our Buying and Creative teams to help bring our latest ideas to life, ensuring that the products we are developing meet our high requirements. This position is limited to 12-24 months and based in Munich.
Bring concepts to life by translating designs from our creative team into detailed 3D CAD models and drawings, ready for manufacture by suppliers Conduct hands-on reviews of furniture prototypes alongside our Creative and Buying teams to ensure premium craftsmanship and functionality, and collaborate directly with external suppliers to refine designs and implement improvements Carry out structural simulations on new designs to rigorously test their strength, safety, and durability before production Support with technical documentation and engineering change management processes to keep all product data accurate and seamless Optimise our existing products by analysing current furniture lines to identify smart re-engineering opportunities that reduce manufacturing costs without compromising quality
Degree in Engineering with experience using CAD to create models, run simulations and produce manufacturing drawings Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously Ability to work independently and thrive in a team-oriented environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders A passion and eye for good design with high attention to detail Fluency in English
