Thor's Haven | No mission should fail for lack of infrastructure | Munich
Thor's Haven keeps critical infrastructure running wherever it's needed most, proven in the hardest conditions there are. Our mobile, trailer-based platforms (command posts, medical cabinets, drone control posts, stabilisation points) are in service with 30+ units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Now we are expanding into Europe and hiring the person to lead it.
Tasks
The role
As Head of Sales, you lead Thor's Haven commercial operations in Europe. You carry the European pipeline and the revenue number, and you shape where we sell: which countries, which channels, which accounts. The routes are direct sales, prime and integrator partnerships, and bilateral and humanitarian procurement. Production and certification stay with the team, so your focus stays on customers and contracts.
This is the first commercial hire in Europe with no direct reports at the start.
Thor's Haven is part of Bifrost Defence. Its military relationships, go-to-market, procurement, and finance sit behind you.
What the job involves
- Build and close the European pipeline, from first conversation to signed contract.
- Own the European revenue target, forecast it honestly, and deliver it.
- Build the commercial plan: priority countries, channels, pricing, and key accounts.
- Lead accounts and deals end to end, including proposals, tenders, pricing, and negotiation.
- Represent Thor's Haven to military and government buyers, at exhibitions and across the table.
- Keep the commercial engine disciplined: CRM, sales materials, and honest reporting.
- Carry what customers and operators tell you back into the product.
Requirements
- What we are looking for
This is a hands-on, mid-career role.
Needed:
- Four to eight years in commercial, business development, sales, or investment.
- Experience with long-cycle, multi-stakeholder deals for institutional buyers: government, defence, large enterprise, or institutional capital.
- Readiness to carry a revenue target and take deals to signature.
- The self-sufficiency to run a commercial function alone: your own deck, your own meetings, your own proposals.
- The presence to hold a room with senior buyers and a steady hand in a negotiation.
- Willingness to travel, Ukraine included.
- Comfort making the call with incomplete information.
- Fluent English and the right to work in the EU.
Preferred:
- A background in defence, aerospace, or an adjacent regulated industry.
- A network in European defence or government procurement.
- Experience selling hardware or capital equipment, not only software.
- Experience building a commercial function from the start.
- Experience with prime or integrator channels.
Benefits
What we offer
- The European business is yours to build: the pipeline, the number, the plan.
- The Bifrost Defence platform behind you: military relationships, go-to-market, procurement, and finance.
- Direct access to military and government buyers across Europe.
- A product built with the people who use it and proven in the field, not on a slide.
- A Munich base (Bifrost Defence GmbH), with travel to exhibitions and customer sites.
How we hire
- Intro call: fit and background.
- Case: a real Thor's Haven European go-to-market problem.
- Final interview with the Managing Director of Bifrost Defence / Thor's Haven: how you think about pipeline, European go-to-market, and selling to defence and government.
