(Volunteer) Junior IT Support (f/m/d) (ID105)

Role Overview

EUSMS is seeking a detail-oriented, systems-curious Volunteer Junior IT Support Assistant to support user access, onboarding/offboarding, and routine administration tasks in Odoo (ERP) and Microsoft 365.

Working under our lead IT Administrator, you’ll help maintain secure and organized systems by managing user accounts, adjusting user access, and documenting internal processes across multiple platforms. This is a hands-on, growth opportunity to gain real experience in nonprofit IT administration while supporting our mission in East Africa and beyond.

You’ll work remotely and closely with the IT Administrator team to ensure new team members are onboarded efficiently, permissions are kept up to date, and documentation stays current — all with light guidance and flexibility.

Tasks

User Lifecycle Management

• Set up new user accounts and permissions in Microsoft 365 and Odoo
• Adjust roles and groups based on job function (e.g. Projects, CRM, Finance)
• Offboard departing users (email forwarding, access removal, license deactivation)
• Maintain starter–changer–leaver (SCL) checklist and logs

Light Systems Administration

• Reset passwords and assist with access issues
• Track user metadata changes (titles, aliases, department tags)
• Update security groups in SharePoint or Teams when needed
• Support basic field/tag edits in Odoo 18 (Community Edition)

Documentation & Support

• Keep audit ready internal SOPs and onboarding guides up to date
• Log actions for compliance and internal tracking
• Respond to user requests in coordination with IT Admin

Requirements

• Basic familiarity with Microsoft 365 Admin
• Comfortable navigating admin menus and updating user settings
• Detail-oriented with consistent follow-through on tasks
• Proactive communicator in a remote team
• Fluent in English
