Palo Alto Networks SASE is looking for a Regression QA/Automation Engineer with strong experience in validating networking and security features for the Prisma SD-WAN team. You will be part of a world-class engineering organization working on innovative SASE and SD-WAN technologies. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical challenges, improve product quality, and deliver reliable solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Work in a fast-paced, customer-focused engineering environment to solve complex problems and deliver high-quality results.
  • Drive end-to-end regression validation across SD-WAN networking and security features and releases.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance test automation to improve regression efficiency and coverage.
  • Collaborate closely with Development, QA, DevOps, PLM, and Technical Support teams to ensure product quality and release readiness.
  • Analyze regression failures, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive problems to resolution with the appropriate engineering teams.
  • Identify test coverage gaps and opportunities for automation, and continuously improve the regression strategy and execution process.
  • Contribute to improving regression velocity, release predictability, and overall QA efficiency through automation and innovative testing approaches.
  • Explore and adopt AI/Agentic AI-driven testing and debugging to improve engineering productivity and move toward autonomous QA.
  • Support customer escalations and critical issues by providing timely technical analysis, reproduction, and validation.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 6–8 years of experience in QA and regression testing of networking and/or security products, with a BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of L2/L3 networking with the ability to troubleshoot complex networking issues.
  • Good understanding of TCP/IP protocols, including ARP, IP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, and IPSec.
  • Hands-on experience testing VPN technologies, including IPSec and SSL VPN.
  • Experience testing enterprise routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
  • Good understanding of NAT, DHCP, DNS, IPv6, and Multicast.
  • Experience executing and maintaining regression test suites across multiple software releases, configurations, and platforms.
  • Strong debugging skills with the ability to analyze regression failures, isolate root causes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with test automation using Python and REST APIs, including enhancing and maintaining automation frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, documentation, and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage regression cycles, identify test gaps, and drive issues to closure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with network traffic and test tools such as Keysight BreakingPoint, Spirent CyberFlood, or VIAVI TeraVM.
  • Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP and cloud-based networking/security deployments.
  • Familiarity with SASE and SD-WAN, including NGFW, Zero Trust, CASB, and cloud security concepts.
  • Experience with L4–L7 security features.
  • Experience with scale or performance testing of networking/security products.
  • Exposure to Agentic AI, LLMs, AI-assisted testing, or autonomous test/debug workflows.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative engineering environment.
