Job Summary

As a Senior Staff Software Backend Engineer on the Prisma AIRS Red Teaming team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of AI security. You will work closely with a diverse team of product managers, UX designers, frontend engineers, and other backend engineers to conceptualize, design, and deliver cutting-edge backend solutions for the Prisma AIRS Red Teaming product. You will be at the forefront of feature development for an industry-defining product in the rapidly evolving space of AI Red Teaming. Your responsibilities will include translating complex technical requirements and user needs into robust and scalable backend services, leading architectural design, and mentoring junior engineers to drive technical excellence within the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop highly scalable and robust backend services and APIs that offer customers insights into their red teaming engagements and provide actionable solution suggestions.
  • Analyze and solve complex red teaming problems by evaluating requirements and applying advanced engineering techniques to achieve high-quality results.
  • Proactively identify problems and opportunities, proposing and developing simple, attainable solutions to enhance the team's development process and product quality.
  • Serve as a role model in establishing and implementing engineering best practices, including test-driven development, for red teaming solutions.
  • Drive collaborative discussions and ensure alignment among product managers, designers, and engineers to create an exceptional red teaming product.
  • Lead the architectural design and implementation of new features, ensuring the scalability, performance, and maintainability of the backend codebase.
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning within the team.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with 5+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of experience, or a PhD.
  • Expertise in building scalable distributed systems with excellent Python or Golang programming skills.
  • Proven experience with modern backend frameworks, relational databases (SQL), and cloud platforms, specifically GCP (Google Cloud Platform).
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with senior and junior engineers in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab Pipelines) and Git version control.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Microservices architecture patterns and experience building and scaling APIs.
  • Experience with Data-Driven systems and containerizing applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of 'Secure by Design' patterns and security best practices.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and troubleshooting system-level integration and performance issues.
