Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic and technically adept Director of Enterprise Data Engineering and Analytics. In this role, you will lead a growing, highly capable team spanning data engineering, analytics, and product management—who are an integral part of our global organization based across US, Israel, and India.

This is a role for an owner and a builder, not a bureaucrat or a pure program manager. We are seeking a leader who blends deep technical expertise with outstanding people leadership to bring people together and drive cohesion. You will foster a high-agency, performance-driven culture, empowering your team to take ownership and autonomously drive projects from inception to impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical & Strategic Leadership: Oversee and integrate various data functions—including data engineering, reporting, insights, analytics, and machine learning. You must understand how these components interact and function at a deep technical level.
  • Global Collaboration & Execution: Partner closely with US-based leadership and business stakeholders to initiate, shape, and drive critical work. You will seamlessly navigate multiple time zones, serving as the bridge between global strategy and local execution.
  • Domain Excellence: Drive high-impact data initiatives across key organizational domains, including People, Finance, Go-To-Market (GTM), Support, and Marketing.
  • Executive Communication: Seamlessly transition between diving deep into the technical weeds with your engineers and up-leveling complex work into clear, strategic insights for executive audiences.
  • Empowering Ownership: Work directly with the business to take full ownership of projects, while cultivating an environment where your team is empowered to take responsibility, operate autonomously, and deliver high-performance results.

The Team

You will be stepping into a critical leadership position for our India Data & Analytics team, which serves as a core pillar of our global data organization spanning Santa Clara, Israel, and India. The India team is composed of talented data engineers, data analysts, and product managers who are passionate about unlocking business potential.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Team Building & Scaling: A proven track record of building, scaling, and managing highly cohesive, high-performing technical teams. You know how to spot talent, drive a performance culture, and give teams the room they need to grow.
  • Deep Technical Expertise: Strong foundational knowledge across the entire data lifecycle. You are highly fluent in data engineering pipelines, database management, advanced analytics, insights, and machine learning.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Exceptional ability to collaborate both within your immediate team and across global, cross-functional teams, particularly in syncing with US leaders.
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrated success partnering directly with business stakeholders to drive outcomes in core domains such as Finance, People, Marketing, Support, and GTM.
  • Hands-on Leadership: A true builder’s mindset. You avoid pure resource allocation or administrative program management in favor of getting into the details, understanding the technology, and solving real problems to elevate your team’s output.

Our Commitment

We’re trailblazers that dream big, take risks, and challenge cybersecurity’s status quo. It’s simple: we can’t accomplish our mission without diverse teams innovating, together.

We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations for all qualified individuals with a disability. If you require assistance or accommodation due to a disability or special need, please contact us at accommodations@paloaltonetworks.com .
