Job Title: GCP - JAVA Developer, AVP

Location: Pune, India

Role Description

  • Deutsche Bank is actively renewing its digital channels and has started many strategic and challenging projects. Next to some major technological changes Deutsche Bank has decided to step into the Agile software development methodology to improve its agility and reduce time to market without scarifying quality
  • As a architect you will bring Java design and development skills, focus on cloud application and infrastructure, you will help customers implement best practices for migration and develop/publish solutions to help modernize application infrastructure. You will provide direction on how to tailor mechanisms used to secure and deploy applications reliably and safely to production. You will extensively make use and apply continuous integration tools and practices in the context of Deutsche Bank's digitalization journey.

Your key responsibilities

  • Strong development around cloud implementation and modernization of applications
  • Strong development skills and should be able to contribute on quality code
  • Develop and unit-test, Integrate, deploy, maintain, and improve software, perform peer code review
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across distributed system.
  • Actively participate into the squad activities and ceremonies e.g. daily stand-up/scrum meeting
  • Actively participate and Dev chapter lead activities
  • Apply continuous integration best practices in general (SCM, build automation, unit testing, dependency management)
  • Manage individual task priorities and deliverables
  • Responsible for quality of solutions he/she provides
  • Contribute to planning and continuous improvement activities
  • Collaborate with other squad members to achieve the Squad/Sprint objectives
  • Report progress/update Agile team management tools (JIRA/Confluence)
  • Support the PO, Analyst and Scrum Master

Your skills and experience

Relevant Experience – 9 to 12 years

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field with work experience in a software/system engineering or lead position
  • Excellent knowledge of Java, J2EE, spring framework.
  • Strong Experience in Spring boot, Spring Security, Spring Cloud, Spring Batch and Microservice architecture.
  • Good to have knowledge of HTML5, CSS & JavaScript frameworks (Angular and ReactJs), CSS frameworks.
  • Experience in SQL and NoSQL like Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB databases
  • Knowledge of the current state of infrastructure automation, continuous integration/deployment, SQL/NoSQL, security, networking, and cloud-based delivery models
  • Required experience in Infrastructure as Code in Terraform for developing/provisioning GCP services
  • Strong experience on Docker and Kubernetes/Google Kubernetes Engine
  • Required experience in Devops/(CI/CD) preferably in Jenkins using scripting languages
  • Practising experience in any cloud preferably GCP.
  • Strong solution architecture experience in complex environment.
  • Strong learning capabilities and adopt new technologies
  • Proficiency in working with global and local teams, working in a collaborative agile environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of web servers (Apache), testing & debugging e2e.
  • Excellent knowledge of Webservices (REST), messaging (JMS/MQ), database (Oracle/MySQL etc), batch processing, security concepts, application servers (Tomcat/Wildfly etc), testing & debugging e2e.
  • Experience in Content Management/Collaboration products like Documentum, Filenet, Sharepoint would be a preference
  • DevOps and problem-oriented mind-set
  • Functional design, technical design and programming of new projects, enhancements, maintenance and troubleshooting of a specific set of applications, following IT Application Life Cycle standards aligned with technology strategy.
  • Good to have Caching Technologies like Hazelcast, MemCached, Redis, etcs.
