Job Title: Requirement Engineer, AVP
Location: Pune, India
Role Description
- The business which this development team is supporting is the lending department within Private Bank Germany. The whole life cycle for mortgage, consumer loans and its collections and recovery solutions for various types of loans is covered within the department and supported by several teams.
- To extend and maintain these systems, an experienced Techno-Functional Analyst is required.
- The key responsibilities include the Design, configure, and optimize end-to-end workflows within the application to meet operational needs.
- The role requires advanced proficiency in SQL (writing complex queries, joints, unions, stored procedures, and performance tuning for data validation purposes).
- The key objective of this role is to bridge the gap between the client’s needs and the technical delivery team and to help successfully deliver projects within this diverse and challenging space. The Functional Analyst will be heavily involved at all stages of the software delivery lifecycle from initial scoping and planning exercises through to the detailed analysis and collaboration with the IT team to deliver working software.
- The role requires an enthusiastic, pragmatic self-starter who wants to solve problems by delivering quality and cost-effective solutions through the employment of excellent business analysis techniques and functional domain knowledge.
- The role includes also participation in L3 production support activities.

Your Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Ensuring the functional and technical configuration of the workflows that align with the business processes and translating the business logic into system configuration rules and parameters.
- Writing complex SQL queries and ability to read, write, and debug SQL statements to support technical business analysis and data mapping tasks.
- Utilize visualization tools such as Microsoft Visio or Draw.io to create professional process flows / workflows.
- Design and interpret Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) to understand and document data structures and relationships to perform comprehensive data mapping.
- Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies.
- Challenging, capturing and describing requirements according to the quality standards operating within the team
- Proactive in identifying cost effective solutions to business problems
- Acting as the voice of the client throughout the development process
- Assisting and supporting QAT, SIT, UAT and PROD.
- Close co-operation with other teams in the Bank to ensure strategic initiatives are leveraged
- Identifying areas where we can improve the analysis and delivery capabilities of the wider team
- Keeping aware of the latest industry trends and best practice to improve the team
Your Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience as a SQL Developer with a strong capability to write clean, optimized, and well-documented queries.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and product owners to gather, analyze, and refine functional requirements.
- Hands-on experience with diagramming tools such as Microsoft Visio, Draw.io, or equivalent.
- Understanding of data mapping between source and target systems to define and maintain the data diagrams and documentation.
- Prior experience configuring enterprise workflow software or packaged software products is an added advantage.
- Outstanding analysis skills comprising demonstrable experience of all aspects of analysis such as business process modelling, use cases/user story writing, data modelling. All of the above in the context and use of the UML standards.
- Previous Financial Domain experience is a plus
- Beneficial to have understanding of financial products especially in the Lending area
- Comfortable working within a full project life cycle from initiation through to delivery
- Experience of working with an agile methodology would be an advantage
- Experience in identifying and documenting client technical needs, internal structures, procedures, workflows and systems
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Flexible - keen to learn new technologies and to extend business domain knowledge
- Work to schedules, potentially across multiple projects and teams
- Educated to degree level
- Experience on tools like Jira, Confluence, HPLM
Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
