Agents are changing how all software will be built. Agentic systems can perform substantial engineering work. It is still unproven whether they can be a reliable production capability at graphics systems' quality standards. Meanwhile, teams continue shipping new features, sustaining platforms, and meeting product commitments. Graphics drivers are a difficult proving ground. They involve large codebases, complex hardware-OS interactions, strict performance demands, broad application compatibility, and formal safety obligations in automotive.

NVIDIA seeks an engineering manager in India to develop a new framework for agentic software development. You will test this model against one of our most fast-paced production software stacks. You will lead a graphics systems team through this transition and continue delivering the necessary product roadmap. Afterwards, you will transform effective practices into a reusable engineering product for other teams. You will grow the people, technology, and operating model together, creating an ambitious, highly engaged team that uses agents to surpass typical capacity. Success goes beyond one team’s transformation; it establishes a production-proven system for software development in the agentic era at NVIDIA.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop and launch an end-to-end production model for agentic software development. Apply it to graphics systems, where agents perform engineering tasks from requirements and diagnosis to implementation, validation, review, and release.
  • Define the technical strategy and transformation roadmap, turning fast paced agentic capabilities into dependable production execution and steadily growing the work agents complete end to end.
  • Keep the team delivering its must-do graphics and display roadmap. This includes new features, platform enablement, performance, stability, and release commitments. At the same time, fundamentally evolve how that work gets done.
  • Build an ambitious, highly engaged team that produces outstanding results, nurturing engineers and technical leaders alongside the technology and operating model.
  • Transform the established agentic engineering system into a reusable product for other teams. Package its orchestration, skills, tools, evaluations, validators, and operating methods. Collaborate across NVIDIA to encourage adoption with measurable production outcomes.

What we need to see:

  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering production software via autonomous engineering systems that include planning, tool application, retrieval, memory, evaluation, and validation, with agents handling a significant portion of actual engineering tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to turn a fast paced and ambiguous technical opportunity into a clear strategy, roadmap, and measurable production system while keeping an existing product roadmap on track.
  • 10+ overall years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years of engineering management or technical leadership, with a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong technical foundations in complex production software, including systems architecture, debugging, validation, CI/CD, and release engineering.
  • High-agency, results-focused leadership: you build an environment where people grow, enjoy doing their best work, and use technology to deliver results far beyond the team’s traditional capacity.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Acknowledged advancements in the field of agentic systems, shown through peer-reviewed publications, widely embraced open-source projects, public benchmarks, or other externally validated outcomes.
  • Experience with graphics or display driver development and technologies such as Vulkan, OpenGL ES, EGL, SurfaceFlinger, HWC, Gralloc, UMD/KMD drivers, X11, or Wayland.
  • Familiarity with NVIDIA DRIVE OS and experience developing safety-critical automotive software using standards such as ISO 26262 and ASIL.
  • Meaningful contributions to the Linux kernel, graphics software ecosystem, developer tools, or other broadly adopted systems software.

NVIDIA is widely considered one of the technology world’s most desirable employers. We have some of the most forward-thinking and hardworking people in the world working with us. If you are a creative and autonomous engineering leader who wants to invent how the most demanding production software will be built in the agentic era and prove it by helping real driver teams ship, we would love to hear from you.
