This is an IC9-level role, meaning you operate with exceptional autonomy to drive strategic change across multiple countries and functions.

You will be the guardian of our "purple" identity, responsible for defining 0-1 experiences and elevating the level of craftsmanship across our entire global product. • Evolve the Visual Identity: Spearhead the global transition to our new illustration system. Define scalable guidelines that move us from current standards to a unified, global language.
  • Architect Core Interactions: Define the structural patterns and widgets for the Nu homepage. Deliver production-ready specifications that bridge the gap between high-level design and engineering execution.
  • Unify Global Design: Eliminate fragmentation across Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia. You will create a cohesive design language that feels like "one Nu" while intelligently allowing for local market flexibility.
  • Drive Strategic Roadmap: Act as an advisor to business leadership, translating organizational strategy into a tangible design roadmap and removing blocks to ensure a world-class user experience.
  • Mentor and Influence: Act as an ambassador for design craft. You will coach senior design leaders and foster a culture of open communication, empathy, and continuous improvement.
  • Master AI & Innovation: Identify breakthrough opportunities to integrate AI into the design workflow and product experience, ensuring ethical standards and user trust are always prioritized.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Deep Design Mastery: Extensive experience leading design at a global scale, with a portfolio that demonstrates world-class visual craft, UI excellence, and systems thinking.
  • Proven Strategic Leadership: Ability to drive large-scale organizational transformations and influence enterprise-level strategy through design.
  • Architectural Thinking: Deep expertise in design systems, interaction patterns, and creating scalable frameworks for complex digital products.
  • Swift Execution: A "visionary who does"—the ability to quickly prototype and articulate high-fidelity solutions that solve complex, ambiguous business problems.
  • Exceptional Communication: Mastery in communicating complex design logic to executive stakeholders and mentoring other designers to improve their persuasive storytelling.
  • Global Perspective: Experience working across diverse markets and cultures, with the ability to balance global consistency and local relevance.
