About the role 

• Open to hiring remote across the US — we also have offices in NYC, San Francisco, and Seattle

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technology-forward- Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. This is a foundational role on our accounting team to own the close and all things GL, with a hands-on approach to leveraging the AI tools available today.

What You'll Do

• Execute a timely and accurate monthly close by preparing and posting journal entries and flux analyses, reconciling core general ledger accounts (including prepaid expenses, accruals, leases, investments, and cash), and investigating and resolving variances
• Own cost of sales (COS) accounting, including reconciling COS accounts, analyzing margin drivers, and ensuring accurate cost recognition
• Review vendor contracts and accounts for a broad range of transactions and deals (ranging from co-marketing deals to leases, and beyond), ensuring proper treatment under U.S. GAAP
• Own accounts payable operations, including reviewing and reconciling invoices and cash management
• Identify and implement process improvements across accounting workflows - including leveraging AI and automation to streamline the close, strengthen controls, and drive consistency as a lean team scales
• Represent the accounting function in cross-functional conversations, whether with Legal, Sales, or Engineering, ensuring accounting considerations are surfaced early and reflected in decisions
• Assist in the preparation of supporting schedules and documentation for external audits and financial reporting

What you’ll need

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA candidate preferred
• 4+ years of accounting experience with strong technical fundamentals
• Solid command of U.S. GAAP and a deep understanding of the full close cycle
• High proficiency in Excel; experience with Netsuite a plus
• Experience with AI and automation tools to enable scalable accounting operations and processes
• Highly organized, dependable, and able to manage competing deadlines without sacrificing accuracy
• Strong communicator who works well across teams
