About the Team

OpenAI didn’t begin as a traditional company. It began as an idea: that artificial intelligence could be developed in a way that benefits everyone. As a creative team, our role is to help make sure the work behind that idea is understood, as it leaves the lab and meets the world.

This company works at the frontier of intelligence. Like any frontier, it’s unfinished, constantly shifting, and still being explored. Our job is to stay close to that uncertainty and help shape how this story gets told, in a way that feels grounded and human. We do this through campaigns, launches, films, brand systems, and work that doesn’t fit neatly into any of those categories yet. This team is for people who want to help shape something from the beginning.

About the Role

We are seeking a Web Producer to own the execution and delivery of web projects across OpenAI.com. You’ll drive work from intake through launch, translating briefs into clear production plans, coordinating cross-functional inputs, managing timelines and dependencies, and ensuring every experience is accurate, polished, and delivered on time.

You’ll partner closely with Marketing, Growth, Product, Design, Communications, and Engineering to operationalize web work in a fast-moving environment. This is a hands-on production role: you’ll build pages while owning the details, quality, communication, and follow-through that make launches run smoothly.

This role is based in San Francisco. The role requires a hybrid schedule, with employees in the office Monday through Wednesday.

In this role, you will:

  • Own web projects from intake through launch, translating requests and creative briefs into structured production plans, managing timelines, dependencies, and handoffs, and proactively surfacing risks.
  • Build and update pages using existing components, templates, and design systems; implement content, layouts, imagery, assets, and metadata accurately across single-page updates and multi-page launches.
  • Partner with Marketing, Growth, Product, Design, Communications, content, SEO, Legal, and Engineering teams to clarify requirements, coordinate inputs and approvals, and ensure the finished experience reflects its intended design.
  • Lead pre-launch quality assurance across content, layout, links, assets, responsive behavior, accessibility, SEO, performance, and brand consistency; identify and resolve issues before launch.
  • Manage multiple parallel requests while communicating project status, blockers, decisions, and tradeoffs clearly; balance speed with a high bar for quality, accuracy, and reliable delivery.
  • Coordinate post-launch fixes and follow-ups, document launch details, and improve repeatable production workflows to reduce rework, prevent last-minute surprises, and deliver consistently polished web experiences.

You might thrive in this role if you have:

  • Experience producing and shipping web or digital projects in a marketing or product environment, including site updates, campaigns, or larger launches.
  • Hands-on experience within a CMS, including building and updating pages with reusable components, templates, and established publishing workflows.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, dependencies, and handoffs.
  • An ability to turn ambiguous requests and creative briefs into concrete execution plans, clarify requirements, identify practical solutions, and keep cross-functional work moving.
  • Familiarity with design systems, responsive web experiences, quality assurance, SEO fundamentals, accessibility, brand standards, and web performance.
  • Clear, proactive communication and a collaborative working style, with the ability to build trust across disciplines, operate independently, and adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment.
