Job Description

As the EHS Intern, you will be responsible for environmental, health and safety management throughout the company's production and operations. This role involves identifying, assessing, and controlling various environmental, health and safety risks, driving continuous improvement of the EHS management, ensuring no EHS incident and compliance with national and local safety regulations, and fostering a safe and healthy work environment & culture.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement and enforce all EHS-related policies and procedures within the Shenzhen Engineering Center, including but not limited to:
  • Organize environmental aspect identification, hazard identification, and risk assessments for workplaces in accordance with documented procedures
  • Participate in regular EHS inspections of workplace, track corrective actions through to closure
  • Participate in safety reviews for new processes, new equipment, and new materials; assist with safety assessments in Management of Change (MOC) process
  • Execute the annual safety training plan, deliver three-level safety orientation for new employees, and manage personnel engaged in special operations
  • Organize regular drills of on-site emergency response procedures for workplace based on published emergency plans
  • Support on-site inspections by government regulatory authorities, track corrective actions, monitor applicable regulations for workplace, and ensure compliance
  • Assist and participate in production EHS management at Shenzhen manufacturing facilities

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Safety Engineering, Environmental, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline preferred
  • Open to students pursuing a Bachelor's degree or above; no prior experience required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English
  • Basic understanding of hazardous chemical properties
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with data analysis capabilities

PREFERRED:

  • CET-6 or equivalent English proficiency certification
  • Proven experience in independent planning and organizing large-scale events
  • Strong academic performance in courses related to EHS, safety engineering, or environmental science

SKILLS:

  • Embracing AI technology, be good at deploying AI applications to promote automation & work efficiency
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility and safety awareness
  • Strong learning ability and a proactive desire to learn
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Strong execution capability and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to on-site inspection environments
