We are looking for a Transaction Health Senior Analyst to join our Spend Operations team in Singapore. This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who wants to solve complex payment problems and help more good customer payments succeed.

You will use payment knowledge, data and stakeholder conversations to find the cause of payment problems. You will identify practical solutions and lead the work from the first signal to a measured result.

Your mission: 

Wise has already pioneered new ways for people to transfer money across borders and currencies. Our customers can also manage their hard-earned money with the world's first platform to offer true multi-currency banking, and they can spend every day using their Wise debit card.

The Spend Operations team is part of the Spend squad. Our mission is to make it reliable, convenient and eventually free to spend anywhere in the world.

We have an operational team that works closely with our dedicated Product and Engineering teams across offices on three continents. We also work with card schemes and other Product, Engineering and Operations teams at Wise.

How You Will Contribute:

Lead Investigations From Start To Finish

• Find important payment problems from payments data, customer reports and stakeholder input.
• Use SQL, Python or a similar language to test hypotheses and find patterns.
• Investigate problems even when the available signal is incomplete.
• Identify where the cause can sit across the payment flow.
• Decide when to continue, narrow, stop or move an issue to another owner.

Find The Right Problems

• Select work based on customer impact, materiality, evidence, ownership and a practical path to action.
• Separate repeatable payment problems from isolated cases.
• Size the impact with the best available customer, payment, spend, cost or operational measures.
• Build concise evidence packs that make the problem clear.

Design And Drive Solutions

• Look beyond the first or most obvious solution.
• Identify practical levers across Product, Engineering, Risk, Operations, merchants, acquirers, processors and card schemes.
• Find the correct decision-maker and make the required action clear.
• Lead stakeholder conversations and resolve unclear ownership.
• Track actions, deadlines and blockers until the work reaches a clear outcome.

Measure Results And Improve How We Work

• Define the success measure before an intervention starts.
• Compare results before and after the action.
• You have strong practical data skills. You can use SQL, Python or a similar language to investigate complex data.
• You understand payment systems and can reason across the full payment flow. Your experience can come from card issuing, acquiring, processing, a merchant, a payment service provider, a bank, a fintech or another payments area.
• You can form clear hypotheses and test them with incomplete or conflicting evidence.
• You do not stop after you find a pattern. You identify a solution and drive action.
• You can find and assess several possible levers, including solutions that do not need a new technical build.
• You can influence Product, Engineering, Risk, Operations and external payment partners.
• You are comfortable leading work when you do not manage the people who own the final action.
• You communicate complex findings in a clear and direct way.
• You care about customer outcomes and know that a payment metric does not show the full customer experience.
• You can work independently and make progress in an ambiguous area.
• You share useful methods and help improve repeatable ways of working.

Nice To Have

• Experience with 3DS, payment authorisation, card acceptance, decline behaviour or post-authorisation processing.
• Experience working with merchants, acquirers, processors, card schemes, wallets, ATM operators or terminal providers.
• Experience with root-cause analysis, before-and-after measurement or controlled tests.
• Experience writing decision briefs for senior stakeholders.
• Experience leading complex cross-team work without formal authority.
