Convert both bias and radial tire building requirements into robust and optimized process specifications with needed manufacturing suit. Ensure process stability, minimize scrap, and improve green tire quality and uniformity performance. Support continuous improvement of whole tire building process & machine and enable efficient introduction of new products. Key success measures include Safety, Bias & Radial tire building Process capability & stability (Cp/Cpk), Rlevant Scrap reduction and loss management, TBM efficiency performance (cycle time, OEE), New product industrialization success.
- Follow internal ESH standards and demonstrate exemplary behavior.
- Initiate preventive measures and immediate responses to unsafe conditions.
- Ensure green tire quality meets internal standards and customer requirements.
- Support internal & external audits and implement improvement plans.
- Production Support: Support TBM troubleshooting to reduce machine downtime and stabilize process output.
- Optimize TBM parameters to reduce cycle time and variation.
- Ensure correct and up‑to‑date recipes, BOM, and work instructions are available.
- Manage TBM recipes including insertion, verification, optimization, documentation, and change control.
- Prepare process specifications, standard work instructions, training materials, and process capability reports.
- Lead implementation and release of new process standards.
- Identify improvement opportunities through GEMBA and data analysis.
- Implement corrective actions to reduce scrap and increase process stability and green tire yield.
- Support new product industrialization activities by providing process requirements, green tire feasibility checks, and technical evaluations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of tire building process engineering in multi national tire manufacturing company (preferably 3-5 years in Motor cycle Radial & X-ply tire manufacturing).
- Experience of working with international teams.
- Minimum 3 years of involvement in process or improvement projects.
- Experience with scrap reduction and process optimization.
- Experience & deep understanding of new Radial tires industrialization (preferably also X-ply tires industrialization).
- Expert-level understanding of bias and radial Tire Building process.
- Expert in TBM process parameter setting and optimization.
- Knowledge of machine acceptance and process capability qualification.
- Advanced structured problem-solving (8D, 5Why, Ishikawa, Fault Tree Analysis) and statistical tools (SPC, control charting, process capability, DOE).
- Experience in Project Management.
- Good command of English.
