Job Title - Transformation Project Manager, VP

Location - Bangalore, India

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of data center infrastructure projects. The role is responsible for managing end-to-end project delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards while coordinating with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities

  • Manage the complete lifecycle of data center projects from initiation through closure
  • Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans
  • Coordinate with engineering, IT, facilities, network, security, and operations teams
  • Manage new data center builds, expansions, upgrades, consolidations, and migration projects
  • Track project milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices
  • Lead vendor selection, contract management, procurement, and delivery coordination
  • Monitor project financials, budgets, forecasts, and cost controls
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and provide executive-level reporting
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project progress effectively
  • Coordinate testing, commissioning, handover, and operational readiness activities
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement project management best practices

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8–15 years of project management experience, including data center or critical infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, racks, cabling, networking, servers, storage, and security systems.
  • Experience managing multiple vendors and cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Jira, Excel, and project reporting tools.
  • Strong communication, leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Certifications

  • PMP (Project Management Professional)
  • PRINCE2
  • Agile/Scrum Certification
  • ITIL Foundation
  • CDCP (Certified Data Centre Professional) or equivalent data center certification
