Hourly Rate: $80–$150/hr

The annual compensation equivalent is calculated at 40 hours/week across 48 workable weeks/year and represents a full-time equivalent, not guaranteed earnings. The engagement is fully hourly and asynchronous, so actual earnings depend on the amount of work you choose to take on.

About the Role

We’re looking for credentialed actuaries to help evaluate and improve how AI systems handle real-world actuarial and risk analysis.

You’ll review AI-generated actuarial work for technical accuracy, create expert demonstrations based on your professional experience, and assess model responses against actuarial standards and professional practice.

The work may cover pricing, reserving, valuation, risk modeling, and other actuarial workflows across life, health, property and casualty, and pensions.

What You’ll Do

• Evaluate AI-generated actuarial analysis for technical accuracy and soundness.

• Review pricing, reserving, valuation, and risk modeling outputs.

• Create expert demonstrations based on actuarial workflows and problems from your professional practice.

• Develop realistic examples that reflect how actuarial analysis is performed in professional settings.

• Rank and label AI-generated responses against relevant actuarial standards and expectations.

• Identify technical errors, unsupported assumptions, calculation issues, and weaknesses in actuarial reasoning.

• Provide clear written explanations supporting your evaluations and rankings.

What We’re Looking For

• SOA or CAS actuarial credential, including ASA, FSA, ACAS, or FCAS; or substantial actuarial exam progress with 3+ completed actuarial exams.

• At least 2 years of professional actuarial experience.

• Hands-on experience in one or more areas such as:

  • Pricing

  • Reserving

  • Valuation

  • Actuarial modeling

  • Risk analysis

• Strong written communication skills.

• Ability to evaluate technical actuarial work accurately and explain your reasoning clearly.

• Strong attention to detail and professional judgment.

Preferred Experience

• FSA or FCAS designation.

• Experience across life, health, property and casualty, or pensions.

• Experience using actuarial modeling and analytical tools such as:

  • AXIS

  • Prophet

  • R

  • Python
