About the Role

This contract role focuses on evaluating, editing, and assessing written content for clarity, coherence, accuracy, grammar, structure, tone, and overall quality.

You will apply professional writing and editorial judgment to review text, identify low-quality or AI-generated content, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to high-quality datasets used for AI evaluation and training.

No prior experience in AI is required.

What You’ll Do

• Assess written content for clarity, coherence, accuracy, structure, tone, and overall quality.

• Conduct detailed writing evaluations and provide constructive, actionable feedback.

• Identify and annotate AI-generated or low-quality content, including text that exhibits characteristics of poorly generated or overly artificial writing.

• Review and edit documents for grammar, syntax, structure, tone, and consistency.

• Apply strong English-language and editorial judgment across different types of written content.

• Identify subtle differences between human-written and AI-generated text.

• Collaborate remotely with project coordinators and other specialists to provide editorial insights.

• Prepare written analyses and recommendations that can improve AI evaluation and training datasets.

• Complete assignments within defined project timelines while maintaining consistency and reliability.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in professional writing, editing, copyediting, proofreading, or text evaluation.

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Linguistics, or a related field, or relevant experience teaching English.

• Native-level English proficiency with exceptional written communication skills.

• Strong grammar and syntax expertise.

• Demonstrated editorial judgment and attention to detail.

• Ability to assess content quality and identify issues in clarity, structure, tone, and coherence.

• Ability to distinguish nuanced differences between human-written and AI-generated text.

• Experience with content assessment, editorial review, proofreading, copyediting, or quality assurance.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

• Strong written communication and constructive feedback skills.

• Fully remote

• $22–$70 per hour

• Annual compensation equivalent of $42,240–$134,400 based on 40 hours per week across 48 workable weeks

• Actual earnings will depend on hours and assignments available

• No prior AI experience is required
