About the Role

We are seeking a Director of Talent Operations, Strategy & Automation to build the systems, processes, and operating infrastructure required to scale Talent Operations effectively.

This role will own the Talent Operations automation strategy and roadmap, identifying opportunities to automate, redesign, simplify, or eliminate operational work.

A core responsibility will be shaping the internal Operations Platform used to manage pipeline creation, talent onboarding, subscriptions, and workflows supporting AI training deployments.

The role sits at the intersection of operations strategy, product operations, automation, and systems. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Human Data, Recruiting, and Finance to turn complex operational requirements into scalable systems and measurable improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the Talent Operations automation roadmap and prioritize high-impact opportunities to automate, redesign, or eliminate manual work.

  • Analyze existing workflows to identify bottlenecks, failure points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Redesign operational workflows for scale, reliability, and efficiency.

  • Shape the internal Operations Platform by defining requirements, workflows, business logic, and success criteria.

  • Translate complex operational processes into clear product and engineering requirements.

  • Work directly with operators to understand workflows, edge cases, pain points, and user needs.

  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to design and implement internal platforms, systems, and automation.

  • Drive cross-functional execution across Product, Engineering, Human Data, Recruiting, and Finance.

  • Lead initiatives from discovery and requirements definition through implementation, rollout, and optimization.

  • Measure operational improvements across capacity, cycle time, manual effort, reliability, and error reduction.

  • Create visibility into priorities, progress, impact, risks, dependencies, and delivery across Talent Operations initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Significant experience in operations strategy, business operations, product operations, automation, systems, or a related field.

  • Proven experience transforming complex, manual operational processes into scalable systems and workflows.

  • Strong product judgment and the ability to translate operational challenges into clear technical requirements.

  • Hands-on experience with process mapping, workflow design, automation, and systems implementation.

  • Experience partnering with Product and Engineering teams to build internal platforms or operational tooling.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication skills across technical and operational teams.

  • Ability to move between strategic planning and hands-on execution.

  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-moving and ambiguous environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building or scaling internal operations platforms or workflow management systems.

  • Experience applying AI or agentic automation to operational workflows.

  • Technical fluency with APIs, integrations, automation platforms, and system architecture.

  • Experience in AI data operations, human-data infrastructure, marketplace operations, or distributed workforce operations.

  • Experience managing complex operational systems across multiple functions or teams.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means creating a Talent Operations environment that can scale without a proportional increase in manual work.

You will identify opportunities to eliminate or automate operational effort, improve the reliability of critical workflows, and establish systems that allow teams to operate with greater capacity and consistency.

You will also establish a clear framework for prioritizing automation initiatives, measuring their impact, and coordinating execution across Product, Engineering, Human Data, Recruiting, and Finance.

Work Environment

This is a remote, full-time leadership position. The role requires strong collaboration across technical and operational teams and the ability to work independently while driving complex initiatives from strategy through execution.

The position is suited to an operator who combines systems thinking, product judgment, automation expertise, analytical capability, and strong execution.
