Engineering Manager, Data & Analytics - India

Midera is seeking an experienced and highly technical Engineering Manager, Data & Analytics – India to lead the India‑based Data & Analytics engineering team. This is a hands‑on technical leadership position responsible for building and leading a team of data engineers, BI developers, architects, and analysts while actively contributing to the design and development of Midera's enterprise data platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership & Engineering: Serve as senior technical leader, remain actively involved in solution design, development, troubleshooting, and code review. Design and implement scalable enterprise data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure, SQL, Python, and related tools.
• Microsoft Fabric & Power BI: Lead implementation of Microsoft Fabric environment, establish best practices around Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake, data pipelines, notebooks, semantic models, and governance. Lead Power BI architecture, data models, DAX, security, performance optimization, and reusable enterprise datasets.
• Data Integration & Architecture: Consolidate data from diverse global applications including Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O and legacy ERP systems. Develop repeatable integration patterns, define enterprise data models, master‑data approaches, metadata standards, lineage, data‑quality controls, and governance.
• AI & Advanced Analytics Collaboration: Partner with AI engineering organization, build trusted data foundations for AI agents, machine‑learning solutions, and copilots. Ensure data supplied to AI follows security, quality, and governance standards.
• Team Leadership: Build, lead, mentor, and develop the India Data & Analytics team. Recruit, interview, onboard, set technical expectations, perform code and architectural reviews, and foster an engineering culture focused on quality and ownership.
• Business & Global Collaboration: Work directly with business, technology, and divisional leaders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions. Communicate technical topics to both technical and non‑technical audiences across multiple countries.
• Governance, Security & Data Quality: Implement data architecture consistent with security, governance, compliance, and data‑management standards. Establish data‑quality monitoring, reconciliation, validation, lineage, and exception‑management processes.

Required Qualifications

• 8‑12+ years of professional experience in data engineering, data architecture, business intelligence, analytics, or related disciplines.
• At least 3 years of meaningful technical leadership or engineering‑management experience.
• Strong hands‑on SQL development skills, including complex queries, performance optimization, data transformation, and troubleshooting.
• Significant experience designing enterprise data warehouses, lakehouses, or modern cloud data platforms.
• Strong Microsoft Power BI experience (semantic models, DAX, security, performance optimization, enterprise deployment).
• Experience with Microsoft Azure data technologies.
• Programming or scripting experience using Python, PySpark, or similar languages.
• Understanding of data architecture, data modeling, data quality, governance, security, and integration patterns.
• Experience integrating multiple ERP or enterprise application platforms.
• Excellent spoken and written English, strong interpersonal and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Significant hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake, Data Factory, notebooks, pipelines, semantic models).
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
• Experience integrating manufacturing, supply‑chain, finance, CRM, or field‑service data.
• Experience supporting enterprise analytics environments spanning multiple companies, countries, or ERP platforms.
• Experience working with AI, machine learning, generative AI, or enterprise AI engineering teams.
• Familiarity with APIs, event‑driven integrations, structured and unstructured data, and data services for AI applications.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and modern development practices.

Leadership Profile

The successful candidate will be a builder and technical leader, not simply an administrator. Must be able to solve difficult technical problems, review SQL, Python, pipeline designs, data models, or Power BI implementations, and move between detailed engineering work and enterprise architecture discussions. Must develop engineers, take ownership for delivery and technical quality, and communicate confidently with global colleagues.

Working Model

Based in Bengaluru, India with a hybrid schedule (three days per week in the office). Expect 1‑2 days per week of scheduled working‑hour overlap with U.S. leadership, with flexibility for critical projects.
