Job description

Designation: Head – Quality & Compliance Department: Quality & Compliance Location: Hyderabad, Telangana Reporting to: Plant Head – Site 1 Experience: 12+ years Industry Preference: Forging / Aerospace & Defence / Heavy Engineering / Precision Manufacturing / Metallurgical Manufacturing Role Purpose The Head – Quality & Compliance will be responsible for establishing, maintaining and continuously improving the plant’s Quality Management System and ensuring that incoming materials, manufacturing processes and finished products consistently meet customer, regulatory and internal quality requirements. The role requires a strong manufacturing-quality professional who can combine QMS leadership with hands-on understanding of forging, metallurgy, inspection and process quality. Experience & Knowledge: Minimum 12 years of manufacturing quality experience, preferably with leadership responsibility. Strong working knowledge of AS9100D and ISO 9001. Experience in forging, aerospace/defence manufacturing, heavy engineering, metallurgical manufacturing or precision components is strongly preferred. Sound understanding of metallurgical and dimensional inspection. Strong knowledge of 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, CAPA and structured root-cause analysis. Experience handling customer audits, certification audits and customer quality requirements. Understanding of material traceability, inspection documentation and manufacturing quality controls. Ability to analyse quality data and convert findings into measurable improvement actions. Strong team leadership and cross-functional coordination skills. What We Are Looking For We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked in a high-accountability manufacturing environment and can take ownership of the Quality function rather than operate only as a QMS/documentation specialist. The ideal candidate should be equally comfortable on the shop floor, reviewing inspection and quality data, leading audits, interacting with customers and developing the Quality team.
