Java Backend Developer (Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices)

We’re looking for a Java Backend Developer with strong Core Java fundamentals, hands-on experience in multithreading/concurrency, and solid knowledge of data structures. You will be responsible for building scalable backend services, designing robust APIs, and ensuring high performance and reliability of applications.
Position Summary

Level: Consultant or equivalent

As an experienced Consultant at Deloitte, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality backend solutions within defined timelines. You may also mentor junior team members and collaborate with onsite/offshore teams to understand and translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
Work You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot

• Build and consume RESTful APIs and microservices

• Apply strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and concurrency (multithreading, async processing)

• Participate in end-to-end software development lifecycle (design, development, testing, deployment, support)

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver optimal solutions

• Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization

• Actively contribute to Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)

• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and performance tuning

• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security, and best practices

Qualifications

Must Have Skills / Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Java backend development

• Strong proficiency in Core Java (Java 8+)

• Hands-on experience with multithreading, concurrency, and performance tuning

• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms

• Experience with Spring Boot and REST API development

• Experience in microservices architecture

• Good understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Education

• BE / B.Tech / MCA / M.Sc (Computer Science) or equivalent
