About the Role

We are seeking multilingual Language Experts to help train, evaluate, and improve artificial intelligence systems across a wide range of languages. Successful candidates will use their language proficiency, cultural understanding, and analytical skills to assess AI-generated content and ensure it is accurate, natural, contextually appropriate, and linguistically sound.

This opportunity covers multiple languages, with compensation and eligibility varying by language and project. Candidates should apply for the language in which they have strong proficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated text for grammar, spelling, vocabulary, fluency, and overall linguistic accuracy.

• Assess whether responses are natural, coherent, contextually appropriate, and consistent with the intended meaning.

• Review translations and language-specific content for accuracy and clarity where required.

• Identify grammatical errors, awkward phrasing, mistranslations, inconsistencies, and other language-related issues.

• Evaluate AI responses for cultural relevance, regional usage, idiomatic expressions, and appropriate tone.

• Compare alternative responses and determine which best satisfies the task instructions.

• Annotate, categorize, or label language data according to project-specific guidelines.

• Provide structured feedback to help improve AI-generated content and language model performance.

• Follow quality standards and detailed evaluation instructions consistently.

• Maintain accuracy, objectivity, and attention to detail when completing assigned tasks.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in at least one of the advertised languages.

• Excellent reading comprehension and written communication skills in the relevant language.

• Strong understanding of grammar, spelling, syntax, vocabulary, and sentence structure.

• Ability to recognize unnatural language, contextual errors, ambiguity, and cultural nuances.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to follow detailed guidelines and evaluate content objectively.

• Reliable internet access and the ability to work independently.

• Previous experience in linguistics, translation, proofreading, editing, language teaching, annotation, or AI data evaluation is beneficial.

Available Languages

South Asian languages: Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Odia (Oriya), Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

East and Southeast Asian languages: Chinese, Mandarin, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Thai, and Vietnamese.

European languages: Bulgarian, Catalan, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Icelandic, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Maltese, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, and Ukrainian.

Middle Eastern languages: Arabic, Hebrew, and Persian.

Other language opportunities: Filipino (Tagalog).

Compensation

Advertised rates vary by language and project, ranging from $5 to $55 per hour across the supplied listings. The highest advertised rates include up to $55/hour for Norwegian, Swedish, and Icelandic language expertise.

Actual compensation depends on the specific language assignment, project requirements, and applicable terms. The maximum advertised rate is not guaranteed for every candidate.

Work Arrangement
