About the Role

This contract role focuses on closely reviewing and annotating video footage, with particular emphasis on timing, music and picture synchronization, scene changes, pacing, mood, and annotation accuracy.

You will watch video sessions, identify and label actions and events with precise start and end points, apply detailed annotation guidelines consistently, and help produce high-quality video and music annotation data.

No prior experience in AI is required.

What You’ll Do

• Review video clips and annotate them according to detailed guidelines.

• Identify and label actions and events, including their precise start and end points.

• Detect scene changes, cuts, pacing shifts, and changes in the intensity of activity.

• Assess the tone or mood of each section and identify where it changes.

• Evaluate music and picture synchronization and identify relevant timing relationships between audio and visual events.

• Apply annotation rules consistently across large volumes of video.

• Re-check completed annotations and correct boundaries or labels that are inaccurate.

• Flag unclear or borderline cases rather than making unsupported assumptions.

• Document observations and help resolve ambiguous examples with project leads.

• Suggest improvements to annotation guidelines when recurring gaps or ambiguities are identified.

• Complete assigned annotation volumes within established quality and delivery requirements.

What We’re Looking For

• Professional or academic background in music editing, video editing, sound editing, post-production, editorial work, or a related field.

• Strong sense of timing and the ability to identify precisely when visual or audio events begin and end.

• Understanding of music and picture synchronization and editing music to fit a scene.

• Excellent attention to detail and patience when reviewing repetitive video content.

• Ability to follow detailed written guidelines accurately and apply consistent labeling criteria.

• Strong visual and analytical judgment when identifying scene changes, actions, pacing, mood, and timing.

• Ability to recognize unclear or borderline cases and communicate them clearly rather than forcing a label.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.

• Previous experience with video annotation, data labeling, or music and video annotation is a plus but not required.
