Nurse Practitioner – Advanced Clinical Practice & Healthcare AI Evaluation

HOT | Remote | Independent Contractor | Interview Required

Compensation: Up to $90/hour
Estimated annualized equivalent: Up to $172,800/year
Based on 40 hours per week for 48 working weeks. This is an illustrative equivalent, not guaranteed annual compensation. Actual earnings depend on project availability, approved work, and hours completed.

About the Opportunity

Are you an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Specialist Nurse interested in advancing artificial intelligence in healthcare? This remote contractor opportunity allows you to apply your clinical expertise to AI training, clinical response evaluation, and evidence-based healthcare content development.

As a Nursing Subject Matter Expert, you will review AI-generated clinical responses, assess step-by-step clinical reasoning, and develop expert-level content aligned with your specialty. You will evaluate outputs for accuracy, clarity, safety, and clinical appropriateness while identifying errors in assessment, differential diagnosis, diagnostic testing, treatment planning, medication management, and escalation of care.

Nurse Practitioners and Specialist Nurses across a broad range of clinical disciplines are encouraged to be considered, provided their qualifications and experience align with the relevant specialty and scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop AI training content: Create detailed prompts and gold-standard answers covering clinical assessment, diagnosis, management, patient education, and documentation within your specialty.

  • Evaluate AI-generated clinical responses: Review, compare, and rank outputs according to clinical accuracy, reasoning quality, safety, clarity, and relevance.

  • Assess clinical reasoning: Evaluate differential diagnoses, triage decisions, recognition of red flags, and escalation recommendations appropriate to the clinical setting.

  • Review diagnostic decisions: Assess the appropriateness of tests, interpretation of results, and consistency between patient presentation, findings, and recommended next steps.

  • Evaluate treatment and medication management: Identify potential contraindications, interactions, monitoring concerns, and prescribing issues within the applicable scope of practice.

  • Verify clinical information: Fact-check healthcare content and flag unsupported assumptions, inappropriate therapies, missing safety considerations, and misleading explanations.

  • Assess care pathways: Review referrals, follow-up plans, patient education, and management recommendations for consistency with clinical guidance.

  • Improve AI reliability: Identify inaccuracies and potential biases and provide structured feedback to strengthen model performance across patient populations and clinical scenarios.

Required Qualifications

  • NP, APRN, or equivalent advanced practice nursing qualification, with active licensure or registration, or eligibility, in at least one jurisdiction.

  • At least five years of overall nursing experience, including two or more years in an advanced practice or specialist role preferred.

  • Strong clinical reasoning skills, including differential diagnosis, triage, red-flag recognition, and escalation appropriate to your scope of practice.

  • Experience managing common and complex conditions relevant to your specialty, including follow-up planning, referrals, and patient education.

  • Sound medication-safety judgment, including contraindications, potential interactions, relevant renal or hepatic considerations, and monitoring plans within your scope.

  • Exceptional attention to detail when identifying unsafe assumptions, missing contraindications, inappropriate diagnostic tests or therapies, and misinterpreted results.

  • English proficiency at a minimum C1 level.

  • Ability to evaluate clinical consistency across patient timelines, physiology, dosing logic, evidence-based guidelines, and care settings such as emergency, inpatient, and outpatient environments.

  • Ability to work independently and deliver consistent, high-quality work in a remote contractor environment across time zones.

Preferred Experience

  • AI data training, annotation, or AI response evaluation.

  • Utilization review or clinical documentation review.

  • Clinical guideline development or evidence-based practice.

  • Healthcare content writing or editorial quality assurance.

  • Experience assessing clinical care pathways and patient-safety standards.
