Role Overview

About the Role

We are seeking experienced professional photographers to contribute photography expertise and high-quality visual data to an AI training and evaluation project. You will apply your knowledge of image composition, visual storytelling, photographic techniques, and image editing to describe, label, and assess visual content.

This role combines professional photography with image annotation, metadata creation, and quality evaluation. You will help improve how AI systems interpret visual information by providing accurate descriptions, contextual labels, and consistently organized image data. Previous AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed image descriptions: Analyze photographs and document subjects, settings, composition, lighting, perspective, and other relevant visual characteristics.

• Create accurate image labels: Assign descriptive tags and contextual labels that reflect the visible content and follow project-specific annotation guidelines.

• Generate image metadata: Write captions, descriptions, and supporting metadata to improve image organization, searchability, and interpretation.

• Evaluate visual quality: Review images for clarity, composition, consistency, technical quality, and suitability for the assigned task.

• Apply photographic expertise: Explain visual techniques, including exposure, lighting, color balance, framing, depth of field, and post-processing choices where relevant.

• Edit and refine images: Use Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, or comparable tools to review and prepare visual assets when required by project guidelines.

• Validate annotation accuracy: Check image labels, descriptions, and metadata for completeness, accuracy, and consistency before submission.

• Organize digital assets: Maintain orderly files, naming conventions, metadata records, and submission packages in accordance with project requirements.

• Coordinate with project teams: Clarify instructions, communicate progress, and align deliverables with project coordinators and established quality standards.

• Incorporate feedback: Revise image descriptions, labels, and submitted materials based on reviewer feedback and updated instructions.

• Meet delivery deadlines: Manage assigned tasks, prioritize workloads, and submit complete, high-quality deliverables within agreed timelines.

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional photography experience in areas such as portrait, landscape, commercial, or editorial photography.

• Proficiency with professional cameras, photography techniques, and image editing software such as Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Lightroom.

• A strong portfolio demonstrating technical quality, consistency, and photographic skill.

• Ability to analyze visual content and communicate observations accurately in writing.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent attention to detail when reviewing images, creating labels, and organizing metadata.

• Ability to follow detailed instructions, incorporate feedback, and meet deadlines.

• Strong data organization and submission skills.

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience writing image descriptions, captions, or structured metadata.

• Familiarity with image labeling, annotation, or visual data quality assessment.

• Experience preparing and organizing large collections of digital photographs.

• Experience following structured quality-control guidelines for visual assets.

• Ability to describe photographic techniques and visual characteristics clearly and consistently.

Working Arrangement

This is a remote contractor engagement focused on professional photography, visual content analysis, image annotation, and AI training support. Contributors should be comfortable working independently, managing digital deliverables, and following project-specific guidelines.

Previous experience with AI systems is not required.
